Long time lurker first time poster….so please be nice. I have just grabbed this awesome watch for what is as far as I can find the cheapest price for local stock here in Oz. In fact it beats various international prices such as Creation Watches - $457 and Amazon.com - $377. It comes with a Seiko Australian Warranty and if you are in Sydney the great guys at Star Buy (thanks Raj and Deepak) are happy for you to pop over to view, to check on the chapter ring issue that plagues so many Seiko Divers.   I don't like this turtle style. I wish there was a deal for sarb017 alpinist. I know it's little likely as it's discontinued.

      Missed this unbelievable deal. Now the cheapest way to buy this depend on eBay sitewide discounts. Hopefully one day well have 15 or 20 percent off.

    I was also conflicted between this and the samurai, but it wears so much better than it looks, would suggest trying one on first, you may change you mind…as I did!
    Try to hunt down an Alpinst, you will not be disappointed, love mine!

      I'm now in between alpinist and blue lagoon samurai. Not the turtle one. I dont know why blue lagoons prices have gone up dramatically lately too.

      Had the same dilemma but I went with the samurai because it wears better especially if you have a smaller wrist.

  As a reference, I paid AU ~$316 for my SRP775 from creation using an eBay code.

  Mine came with a 1 year international warranty. The 3 year Seiko Australia warranty is probably worth the extra coin. Most issues with watches are noticeable straight out of the box or within the first week.

  But nobody ever paid $725…ever. Not even at release. That is more than the newest editions and even the limited edition black versions are selling/sold for.

  Enjoy sizing your Seiko pin and collar bracelet. I suggest you watch some youtube clips. It is very fiddly and will test all your patience, despite the difficulty level being low. I suggest you pick up these punches from Aliexpress or eBay. A paper clip will work, but they're not very rigid.

  saw the blue version in melbourne today …. they were trying to convince me discounted to $520 was a killer deal ….
