For those after a smaller (and cheaper) phone, I present to you the China Mobile A3s (funny brand, I know right), but pretty good specs for the price. 5.2" screen size so probably good for those that do not like the Sharp Z2 (5.5") that I posted.

Note the screen on this one is only HD @ 1280 x 720

Beat Geekbuying's deal, pretty good discussion on the China Mobile brand and this particular phone model so head over to that post to read.

Available in GOLD or SILVER colours.

Check out this short 5-minute Youtube video - the phone actually is pretty decent considering the price. Check out the screen and photo quality in the video. Longer hands-on review video here (13 minutes)

Oh, and this phone has Notification LED for those wondering.

dont buy china phone. They illegally stored your personal data.
    Don't support China products.

    • You want us to take your word for it or are you going to back up your claim?

Oh look its Trump junior! Have you got FBI on your arse as well?

Neither of those articles are relevant to the China Mobile A3s in any way.

The first link is about Apple having data centres in China for their iCloud platform and the second link is about a 3rd party app experiencing a data leak.

Sure Chinese phones from some brands send back data (as do big brands) but if you're going to make claims against this specific phone then you're going to need something that specifically mentions it. Otherwise it's apples and oranges.

      • Your comment is appreciated but not upvoted due to having reached positive vote limit.

  • Fixed battery spoils this and the Sharp Z2 for me, but have a + anyway.

    • Thank you :)

    • For $80, is that going to be a deal breaker?
If the battery wasn't fixed, it would probably cost $30 for a replacement hence around 40% of the cost of the phone anyway.

      • You are conflating price and value.

        • Fair enough.

If the battery dies, I will throw it in the bin and get another one :-)

          Cheers

  • You'd have to be pretty naive to think the CCP doesn't have expectations of home grown companies to collect whatever data it requires.

  • The price has gone up to US$67.19 now!

    • Looks like the promotion has ended. Have marked post expired. Thanks!

  • Bought this and it arrived during the week. After using it for one whol day, the side is coming apart from the front near the volume controls. Seems very cheaply made. Will be returning it.
