You can go out into the city for a half day with no dramas.

    • Take the train and go eat chicken rice, and chilli crab

Are you actually transiting through singapore on a connecting flight with the same airline? If you are, pack your backpacks with whatever you may need for the transit time and ask to check your other luggage to your final destination.

Alternatively, if you do have to pick up your bags, there's baggage storage at the airport that's relatively inexpensive.

  • Changi has recently started a tour service if you have enough time. Not sure how good it is but better than being at the airport.

    • Recently ? This has been the case for at least 10 years…

Plenty of places to sleep airside. They don't mind at all. If you're lucky,. You'll score a (like a) lazyboy to sleep on.

Check that you can get back in airside once you collect your bags. Vague recollection that they have a 3hr (before you board the next plane) rule if you go landside. If your bags are sent through for you, no need to worry..

There's a free Singapore tour from airport with proof of onward travel.

Enjoy Changi. It rocks. Butterfly garden (daytime hours only) is beautiful.

    • If your flight leaves within four hours you need to go to the immigration info desk to the side to get approval before going into the general queue.

    • So if your flying with one airline into Singapore and departing Singapore the next day with a second airline, you can’t pickup your bags and then checkin to Aerotel Singapore?

get a hotel room in the airport but you'll still have 13 hours and 58 minutes to find something to do

    • I see what you did there. Hehehe.

I feel like you have put in absolute zero effort to research this yourself.

  • There are a fe Left Baggage locations that will look after your bags for a few bucks. Very easy to get into town, have some chilli crab and then check out marina bay sands and the surrounding parks. Alternatively there are heaps of places to sleep in the airport.

Also, Changi has a free cinema that is pretty awesome. Just walk in with your bags, watch a flick or simply sleep.

  • Depends on which airline you're travelling with, Qantas has same day early check in, then you wouldn't have to lug your luggage for 15 hours.

Download the Changi app prior arrival to get 24 hours wifi access. Without app, you'll have to renew wifi access every 3 hours.

Plenty of affordable food around, just need to shop around. More choices at the new T4 (accessible with free shuttle).

  • if you're even thinking about sleeping in airport hotel then try and book immediately. you won't get a room just by walking up on the day.
