      The model I purchased a few years ago came with lifetime traffic updates / speed cameras, and it was supported by a 2G sim that was fixed inside the device.

      They recently notified me that the service was being terminated, and that if I want those features I'd need to buy a new GPS, but they'd give me 50% off!

      Taking our to Europe in a few months. Much cheaper than trying to use an App with mobile data.

    I would rather a $300 one of these sitting on my dash over a $2000 iPhone..
    Not sure how a phone would handle 60+ degree temps in direct sun but my
    Current Tomtom is fine.

    Also this is world maps, so if you travel a bit it’s a good deal

    If you had previous version of the tomtom top range of the line, you should be getting a targeted email offer for 50% off at Tomtom site. I’m not in hurry to buy one as I believe a new model should come out soon, if my crystal ball predicts correctly…

    Never again! Lifetime is such a scam. They should at least inform their customers about the exact life ending year. Mine dead in just 3 years.
