[PS] The Last of Us Remastered ~ $10.29 (US $7.99) & Until Dawn ~ $7.71 (US $5.99) + More @ PSN US Store

190

Fantastic price on two Playstation exclusives, both highly reviewed. Never seen a better price for Last of Us Remastered.

Lots more games also available for PS4, PS3 and PSP. Credit to the r/GameDeals subreddit where this deal was initially found.

I have just bought both so can confirm buying on the US PSN store does work.
For those who are wondering how to buy from US PSN:
- create US PSN account thru the American PSN store. I had a few time outs just now creating my account, probably due the servers being smashed right now.
- buy digital PSN card off amazon.com, make the shipping address somewhere in America. I used a hotel in Portland, Oregon to avoid paying tax.
- load up PSN wallet using newly bought PSN card
- buy games

I haven't downloaded the games yet as my PS4 hasn't arrived, but others in the past haven't had issues downloading US PSN games in Australia.

Happy gaming all.

  • Until Dawn was a freebie not too long ago on PSplus, as a reminder.

Ive played the last of us four times its an amazing exclusive !

    • Best PS3 game imo.

      • Great PS4 game too

      • Hmm. My first thought was to disagree but I'm scratching my head to think of examples of better games. I'm sure I can come up with one eventually though.

        I'll get back to you.

        • Pacman?

        • @LoopyLou: I think my 3 favorite games of 7th gen are Dead Space, Uncharted 2, and some Mass Effect game (for most people it's 2, but for me I think 3).

  • Any good links to a $10 or $20 usd digital psn card? My search skills seem to only find physical cards on Amazon

    • Here you go negatron
      https://www.amazon.com/20-PlayStation-Store-Gift-Card/dp/B00…

Click on the grey button saying "Edition" to change the card value.

      • Ok I have bought the gift card, now what? I need to sign up for a US PSN account and pretend I'm in the US, then sign into my PS4 with those details and download the game onto my console?

        • +1

Yep, pretty much. By "pretending" to be in the US, all you need to do when signing up is to claim that you live in America. Don't need a VPN or any location spoofer.

Then log-in into PSN on your PS4 with your new US account and download. Other commenters say the game will also be available for other users of the PS4 so long as the game remains on the harddrive.

        • @bumgodrums: You're a legend, thanks a lot! Downloading now onto my new alt account haha

I found https://www.pcgamesupply.com/buygames/sony-playstation-netwo… to be a little better, personally. Can pay in AUD, and the conversion rate is spot on.

    • Finally thank you purchased and currently downloading last of us :)

    • Since when do PC Game Supply charge an activation fee for the PSN card (roughly 10%), on top of the PSN card price?

      • Since when did that happen? I purchased a $10USD card last night for $12.96AUD through PayPal, and that was the final amount.

        • You're right about not being charged on the $10USD card, but on the $20 and $50, there's a fee.

          1 X Playstation Network $20.00 Card (US)

          $25.92 AUD

Activation Fee for Playstation Network $20.00 Card (US)

          $2.58 AUD

          Grand Total (AUD): $28.50

    • Wtf Why would it be better ? you Pay fees to activate the card on top of the Base Price …… and im sure the amount on the website is probbly diffrent to the amount that leaves your Bank !

      • They asked about a $10 card. I was talking about the $10 card. Which we all agreed is better.
Read it all, not just what you choose to get your knickers in a twist over.
And "probbly" is very presumptuous of you..and incorrect, as they charge in AUD, so there is no phantom excess bank charge that they'll probbly charge.

Noob question, but if I download the games with this US account and then log back into my regular AUS account, can I still play the games ok?

    • +1

Yep, it'll work fine on your Oz account, including updates.

If you delete a US digital title though, you'll need to re-download it from your US account library.

  • Thanks Op, sorted out, can't wait to fire it up!

  • Should I buy TLOU if I own the PS3 version and don't intend to play through it again? (I do that a lot)

Just want to give a shout out to Zero Escape: The Nonary Games. If you like a good story, these two games will blow your mind. Just know that they are text/dialog heavy. If you don't hate reading/watching, you are in for a treat. The story is edge of your seat stuff and never gets boring.
