Fisher & Paykel WH8060P2 - 60cm WashSmart 8kg Front-Load Washing Machine - including Bonus Local Delivery, Installation & Removal + Bonus 6kg OMO for $799.

This is 4 Star energy rated (4.5 stars Water) so there a $200 rebate for those in QLD.

This is a Choice recommended model.

The washing machine itself could be found cheaper elsewhere, but I didn't find anything cheaper once delivery is included. The free removal of the old washing machine and free installation of the new machine makes this a great deal. The 6kg Omo is $34.95 at HN, so it's nice to also get that free.

This deal is for local delivery only so if you live far away from a HN, you may want to call up and check first.

    I think I have this exact washer; if not it's very similar. The direct drive motor is much quieter than the Whirlpool it replaced, and the whole machine has been much more reliable.

      what're your specifics experiences with Bosch vs F&P models? about to move in to a new place, so very keen on thoughts regarding the 2 brands.

        Same. Was tossing up between FnP, Bosch (german built 8 series, and china/india built 4 series with the EcoSilence drive), and Miele.

        Skipped FnP, given it's out of the same factory as another Chinese brand sold here. I might as well buy the Chinese brand.

        Skipped the Bosch 8 series, given it was a good few hundred $ more (almost doubled). Same reason that we have skipped Miele.

        The Bosch 4 (most expensive 4 series using EcoSilent drive) has been well, very quiet when running (noise level just as bad like all other machines when water is filled into the machine, and during spinning cycle).     I bought a WH7560P2 about a month ago. I think it is the 7.5Kg version of this. Very happy with it so far. Fairly quiet and easy to use.
    One thing i liked about the F&P over many others i looked at - it has both hot and cold inlets. A lot of machines only have cold in and heat the water in the machine.
