IS 3.9KG considered heavy?
Yes. However, this one is for check-in baggage and is only 65 litres, so perhaps you won't need all of your weight allowance when flying. Perhaps.
Yes, you can put ~30kg into a similar 76x 51 x 34 suitcase. There are modern one that only weight less than 3kg too
Well at that height you're not getting it in the carry on, so i guess the weight wouldn't factor in as much as it would with a small suitcase.
And just how good (or bad) is Flylite? My Medium American Tourister just broke in pieces…

That is actually quite light for a large check-in suitcase.
In a recent choice magazine of small carry-on luggage, flylite had 2 cases. one rated well but the other failed the drop test (and was the only case that failed that test). Admittedly a different model of flylite & a different size.
