What's the name of the company? OPSM?

  • +3

Are you letting us know that OPSM have Oakley Prescription Glasses? Or do they have a sale on or a bargain in store? If they do, then add to the title.

Can't compete with online prices. Not even close.

Sorry where can you get online prescription Oakleys?

      • +3

        with legit Oakley lenses… nowhere i reckon….

      • Clearly, vision direct just to name two

    • Price-wise online prices are always better.

But my previous experience to get a prescription sunglasses done was pain in the you-know-what - when the lenses were not as dark as I wanted. I had to send the glasses back and waited for a few weeks.

ABC's "The checkout" program provides a good comparison of both option:

I had my previous Oakley prescription glasses done at OPSM (with a discount :) and the service is good.

With that price, I would definitely go check it out.

This isnt OzCommercials. If you have pricing information, it needs to be in the title.

    Wow expensive

  • Does that cover sports sunglasses such as the Radar Path?
If so, do you get colour choice?

    • No sunnies. Only clear prescription glasses with authentic Oakley lenses.

That is a pretty good price when you factor in the lenses.

I'm a bit put off with the lenses though as I prefer to get (as I'm pretty badly short sighted) 1.74 Nikon Lite lenses with invisibles ultra mid/high index which RRP is about $420 but with things like Family and Friends 30% discounts that pop up a lot it will reduce by another $126. I might pop in and ask them if an upgrade can be made to the lenses but not sure if they will be able to do it.

I will note though that I LOVE their warranty as the pair of Oakley rimless glasses I got May last year broke (arm broke off) and I got a brand new pair (newer style frame) for free less than a year later.

No issues with them in replacing it.

    • Based on the picture from the OP, it looks like you can pay a bit extra for different types of lenses as well.

    • This package is for Oakley authentic lenses (have a small Oakley etching in them). They only come as 1.49 or Polycarbonate lenses

      • What other lenses are available? The picture in the link says "Other lens types are available for an additional fee".

What's the usual price? How much is the saving?

    • Usual price depends on the specific frame. The lenses start at $120 and the premium anti reflective coating is $130 both of which are included. I don't think any of the Oakley frames are less than $200 so it's minimum saving of around $80.
EDIT: The package includes digital lenses only so it's more like minimum $120 savings.

      • thanks raddvann, my phone died this morning :)

      • Hi Raddvaan,

Could you please send me a private message?

        Thanks,
        OPSM

  • Does anyone know if it's possible to pay extra to upgrade the lenses to the Crizal Prevencia blue light filtering lenses? I asked one of the staff in store today but he said he couldn't find a way to do it on the computer system, but said he was fairly new and wasn't 100% sure. So I was hoping someone else may have had some luck with this and found a way to get it done. Thanks in advance :)
