How big is the bag?

Even a small cat and dog would mean the bag is massive.

I have an 8 or 10 year old Miele thats probably due to go on garage duty(very happy with the quality).
I'm very interested in one of these. More for the hair my daughters shed than any pet.
How good are these air "powered" head? That's my only real concern.
