-Cashback is available on approved and eligible Postpaid Orders and associated Postpaid Events 90 days from the end of the calendar month in which the order occurs
Cashback is available on approved and eligible Prepaid Orders and associated Prepaid Events 90 days from the end of the calendar month in which the order occurs.
Cashback is NOT payable for SIM cards that are not activated within validation period (90 days from the end of the calendar month)
Cashback is paid once per order/transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.

      • so, if you bought but NOT activate the SIM within 90 days, WILL you get the rebate $15 from Shopback? or NOT??

        • +1

You will need to activate the SIM within 90 days to receive Cashback :)

        • Yes, I think from reading the above that is pretty clear.

They state, "90 days from the End of the calender month in which the order occurs."

So, you have between 90 to 120 days to activate sim if you want to get your $15 or $20 cashback.

        • @gotyourback: Hi Rep, how soon do we see the Cashback confirmed on our account after SIM activation?

        • @gotyourback: Hi Rep, I used the app to order the sim card but it did not track the $1 bonus cashback. Is there anything you can do to fix that? Also, my understanding of the T&C is that the validation period to activate the SIM is 90 days from the end of the calendar month of the sale (ie. 90 days from end of May) rather than 90 days from the day of the sale. Please confirm this, thanks. I bought a SIM card which I'm hoping to activate only when my other SIM expires in a month.

  • can you get the further $5 cashback and cashback from Shopback at the same time?

    • Not 100% sure.. But I think so. and it may not be $5 Cashback instead $5 credit
found TnC on their website..hope this may help..

      • from their website it mention: "You can withdraw into your bank or Paypal account once you meet the minimum withdrawal amount of $10"

        • Thanks @dlovep
          I think.. It means yes.. 😊.. @excite

      • thanks, just bought the Data Combo Starter

  • New users can use below referral links to get further $5 bonus

It's in the grey box below so no need to mention it in description

and beating this super popular post for $7.90 on Data Combo Starter

Incorrect. The $7.90 deal was guaranteed. The $5 depends on the cashback successfully tracking i.e. if your forget your ad block on your cashback most likely won't track and lead to dissapointment

    • +1

Ok thanks…If everyone know about referral system then they also know how Cashback offer works ..isn't it..
Anyways.. That info is for awareness as few of us must be new to OZB and not aware of that so thought to add it..

      • +2

Unfortunately it's classified as referral solicitation if you have your referral code in the gray box. If you don't it's a different story

Also you can get yourself a temporary ban in penalty box for referral solicitation

  • Does the referral work using the app?

    • I'm guessing you would have to sign up online with referral and then login via app to make purchases

Nice one op - I've been from Optus, Lebara, Kogan, Lebara the past 4 months getting 15+ gb and unlimited calls each month for 0-$10. This will be my next port.

  • Can I activate the $50 starter pack as >20G data with 35 days expiry? (I remember they have some offer like this)

  • +1

    Thanks OP!
10GB over 180 days is plenty for the internet connection of my solar battery.

    • Enjoy :)

    • Yep, using this for my IoT devices such as solar inverter.

  • Sim starter pack.. no option but to port your number?

  • Can we port from Kogan ?

  • Any idea if the 10GB 180 day data will stack on my current Voda 180 day data?

  • +2

    Thanks Op.youre a legend!

  • Just to clarify, 180 days plan, does it include unlimited Aus calls and text with 10GB data OR only 10GB data ?

  • Any limit with the number of kit that you can buy to get the cashback ? Thinking to buy 1 data plan and 3 data combo plan.
    Thanks

    • Hey there, Cashback is paid once per order/transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.

      • Meaning we can only get 1 cashback per account ?

  • Credited superfast. Very nice site. Good luck with it all!

    • Hi, how long do you have to wait for the cashback to show up on your account after SIM activation?

  • +1

Hi, I'm curious if anyone receives the $15 cash back after their SIM activation for this offer. Below is the reply I received from Shop Back today saying that cash back will be confirmed if mobile plans remain active for a minimum of 90 days after SIM activation. I don't recall seeing this minimum 90 days active condition anywhere. I still did not see any response from the Store Rep on this post despite my repeated query. Is there a mis-representation here?

"Apologies for the previous email. The cashback will go from Pending to Confirmed within 90 days from the sim activation date. Do note that cashback is available on approved and eligible postpaid & prepaid voice & mobile broadband plans that remain active for a minimum of 90 days.

We hope this clarifies your query. Have a great day ahead. :)
    Kind regards,
    ShopBack Customer Care Officer"

    • I don't recall seeing that minimum 90 days active term when I purchased either. I'm crossing my fingers now that someone had saved a copy of the T&Cs back then. It is now listed in the T&Cs if you go to the cashback info page

      • I'm pretty sure the minimum 90 days active term was not there originally and that was why I posted the question to the Store Rep on 03/05/2018 on this post. I wouldn't have signed up ShopBack and made this purchase if the 90 days active term was there! Just took a look at their Vodafone offer page now - this is a New Revised page as this was not the same page when I made the purchase on 01/05/2018. Too bad I did not save a copy of the Original page. Looks like we are ripped off!

        • I've just found out that the t&cs on the shopback homepage doesn't display the t&cs requiring 90 days active. Screenshot

        • @redwood: Thanks! Just saw this page too. I've made a screenshot and would forward to the Shop Back customer support and see if they would honour it.

        • @F1ngolf: can you please let us know how you go? It is a trap for everyone here, which ia not a good reputation for shopback to do this to us.

        • @yht: They are now pointing me to the T&C at https://www.shopback.com.au/vodafone
I'm disputing this and waiting for their response. I would suggest that you write to them on the mis-leading T&C on the home page too.

        • @F1ngolf:can't believe that they change the terms once we paid.

        • @yht: Shopback's latest reply as below just apologises for the confusion caused on the T&C of the cash back offer and they are expecting customers to pay for their negligence and mis-representation to mis-lead customers.

"Thanks for raising the issue up to us, we’ve updated the T&Cs on the pop up. The full terms and conditions can also be found at https://www.shopback.com.au/vodafone. We apologise if this has caused any confusion on your end previously. The cashback would be eligible if the sim is active for a minimum of 90 days."

        • @yht: A few things we could take this forward. First I've revoked my upvotes for this deal. Secondly, pursue resolution through ShopBack AU's FB page and if time permits, explore going through consumer rights agencies to file a complaint. Finally, I would not want give my business to merchants which lack integrity and do not honour their T&C as it costs too much to deal with them no matter how good the deals are as you never know when they would rip you off.

        • @F1ngolf: Perhaps the shopback reps on ozb can chime in? @gotyourback

        • @redwood:I doubt they will show up and dare to chime in here.

    • Hey guys! Can't believe we missed this entirely. We've followed up with presumably one of you guys on the issue via our customer service channel.

Firstly, thanks everyone for highlighting the non-clarity of our terms - we're working to improve this for everyone right now.

Meanwhile, please note that it is in our general policy to invalidate any orders that has been cancelled or returned, or if they spot fraudulent activity. This is an automated process that coincides with our partner's invalidation of such orders. This is a common policy across all cashback sites.

In this case, Vodafone will not validate your order if your Sim card is not activated within 90 days (to them, this is a cancelled order, or a fraudulent order). Since the process is automated, your cashback will be cancelled as well in our system. Understand that this may be confusing to some of you, hence if you have issues with your Vodafone order (placed between 1-8 May), please write into our helpline directly or PM me to investigate on case by case basis.

      • Okay. You basically haven’t addressed the biggest issue. Whether we need to have the service remaining active for 90 days to be approved the cash back?

A lot of us here are pretty sure that it’s a newly introduced t&c and part of your website’s t&c for the promo doesn’t show it as well for a fact

        • Write into our helpline and the agents will be able to assist on a case by case basis! PM me afterwards if you're still having issues

        • @idigaeroplanefood: My position is exactly like the post below. This is not a case by case issue, but how shopback will handle a situation that is clearly not their customers' fault. Would greatly appreciate your response to that

        • @redwood: Hey redwood, this is something we will honour, as long as there's no fraudulent activities detected. In fact I'll have to agree it was silly for us to have put misleading T&Cs in the first place, so if you did nothing wrong and got your cashback invalidated by Vodafone (this is an automated process), PM me directly and I'll sort it out for you

        • @idigaeroplanefood:
          I have PMed you

      • Hi Store Rep, thanks for jumping in. I just got below updated T&C from ShopBack Vodafone offer page https://www.shopback.com.au/vodafone-sale

Now it says "Cashback available after 90 days from the time that the SIM has been activated." So there isn't a need to have the activated sim to be remain active for minimum of 90 days to qualify for the cashback? Kindly clarify.

I also noted that CashBack is not applicable to "Purchases made via the Vodafone Mobile App". Is this new? I'm sure this is going to impact quite a number of guys here.

Updated T&C from ShopBack Vodafone offer page:
-Cashback is available on approved and eligible Postpaid Orders and associated Postpaid Events 90 days from the end of the calendar month in which the order occurs
Cashback is available on approved and eligible Prepaid Orders and associated Prepaid Events 90 days from the end of the calendar month in which the order occurs.
Cashback available after 90 days from the time that the SIM has been activated.
Cashback is NOT payable for SIM cards that are not activated within validation period (90 days from the end of the calendar month)
Cashback not qualified for upgrades and rate-plan changes
Cashback is paid once per order/transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.
Accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities to game/cheat the Cashback system will be banned and Cashback forfeited

-If you face errors at checkout, clickthrough via ShopBack again. Cashback will be rejected if you face errors but still continue with payment.
-Complete your purchase within the same window to qualify for Cashback.

        Cashback not applicable to:
        -Taxes and delivery charges
        -Purchases of gift cards
        -Returns/exchanges/cancellations of orders
        -Upgrades and rate-plan changes
-Usage of promotional or coupon codes not posted and approved by Shopback
-Purchases made via the Vodafone Mobile App

        • Hey F1ngolf, thanks you're right it's still not clear enough. We are editing it to "Cashback available only if your Sim Card remains active for the duration of 90 days from start of activation." << This should be a lot clearer now! It should reflect in the next few minutes

For the liner "Purchases made via the Vodafone Mobile App" << This clause has always been in the T&Cs. It's a standard policy for all brand partners. For the full scope of T&Cs, please visit the merchant pages directly (in this case, Vodafone's would be: https://www.shopback.com.au/vodafone).

        • @idigaeroplanefood: Thanks for clarifying. The main issue now is; it would not be ethically right if (that is IF) ShopBack decides to apply this updated term of needing the SIM service to remain active for the duration of 90 days from start of activation to qualify for the cash back retrospectively. In my case, I decided to purchase the Sim based on the cash back offer without this 90 days active service term and understanding was Sim just need to be activated within 90 days from purchase date. ShopBack would need to clarify its position on this.

        • +1

@F1ngolf: I am with F1ngolf. I wouldn't buy the sim card if I need to stay 90 days since activation. It would be appreciated that you would honour the original term for earn our trust for future offer from shopback.

        • +1

@F1ngolf: Drop me a PM with your ShopBack details guys! Will see how I can sort it out for you :)

        • @yht: Drop me a PM with your ShopBack account details!

        • @idigaeroplanefood: Hey Rep, Have PM details to you. ShopBack customer support does not seem to understand or forthcoming on this issue. Not a good start for my first purchase via ShopBack. Thanks for sorting this out.

      • PMed you. Brought May 1st.

  • Hi OP, suggest that you update below Shopback updated T&C for the cashback on the post so that others are aware before they make their purchase.

    Other Terms & Conditions
Cashback is available on approved and eligible postpaid & prepaid voice & mobile broadband plans that remain active for a minimum of 90 days
Cashback is NOT payable for SIM cards that are not activated within validation period (90 days from the end of the calendar month)
Cashback is paid once per order/transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.
Accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities to game/cheat the Cashback system will be banned and Cashback forfeited

    • Thanks F1ngolf for the suggestion, and everyone's feedback so far. It's been updated now and the terms should be clearer.

We're also scoping through the entire site now so if you spot anything you don't understand, please write into our help line or PM me directly. Will do my best to address your concerns :)

  • Anyone know how long we can keep the connection without recharge?

  • any one else been charged $50 in there credit card when shop back checkout price was $25?

  • dam app they sent me 2 sim packs so if I cancel one will I still get the cash back?

    • Hi mate, looks like Cashback is not applicable if your purchase is made from Vodafone mobile App. See my above query to Store rep.

      Cashback not applicable to:
      -Taxes and delivery charges
      -Purchases of gift cards
      -Returns/exchanges/cancellations of orders
      -Upgrades and rate-plan changes
-Usage of promotional or coupon codes not posted and approved by Shopback
-Purchases made via the Vodafone Mobile App

    • Hey coolsteps, I'm checking directly with Vodafone for you right now. Please give me a few working days as I'm just pending their response now. Could you PM me your ShopBack account email add?

      • thanks rep I sent you a PM hopefully you can help sort something out for me otherwise I'm out of pocket $25

  • I purchased a $25 SIM Starter Pack but the cashback is showing as $13 rather than $20?

    • Hey Reveen, this issue should've been fixed earlier today. Could you PM me your email add in case it's not been resolved?

      • Now it shows up as $15 which still isn't correct? PMed you.

        • Thanks idigaeroplanefood it now shows up as $20 cashback.

Also Vodafone delivered the SIM card today. Super fast!

  • I bought both on 1st of May. I normally buy these deals for a rainy day, mostly given to o/s visitors.
Vacation sim used to have no expiry date and I'm used to that. It's silly to change, they got paid and if unused, nothing to loose.
I'm still confused about the expiry date. I understand these SIMs need to be activated within 90 days, so for me end of July. If I activated 30 July, when will be my cashback ? 90 days after activation? For the data sim it's fine. But for the data combo, do I have to wait another 90 days from 30 July?

  • I bought a $25 SIM Starter Pack on May 2, but there is no cashback activity in my account, only click history, do I have to activate the sim before the cashback can be tracked?
I understand the cashback should be tracked whether or not the sim has been activated, is that the case?

    • Hey excite! You need to activate your Sim for cashback to be validated (this is a rule on Vodafone's side). Could you PM me your ShopBack email account + your Vodafone purchase details? Let me check for you

      • I just PMed you

      • Hi Rep,
        Any update on this?

  • just found my cashback was rejected in Shopback, I definitely made an eligible purchase, do not know why

  • +1

tried to port my number but am stuck at the 'Did you buy this SIM through the Vodafone website?' question.

I clicked on 'Yes I did' and filled my order number and delivery postcode, but got the error

Something didn't go as planned. Please try activating again later.

rep, can you please confirm if I am still eligible for the cashback if i skipped this step?

  • Has anyone got their cashback?

    • Not for me. In fact, I've just emailed Shopback to follow up on their promise to honour my cashback as it has already passed the due date.

      • Just got mine this morning, still waiting for the bonuses (using app, welcome) though.

    • +1

Emailed them the invoice as requested and got a notification that cashback is confirmed. All good now.

  • I am disgusted as my claim is rejected!

    • Getting annoyed as we have to send the order confirmation then further wait for Vodafone to verify.

      • Same here - I was asked to send through the activation email.

I can send them the info, but this whole ordeal has turned into a f**king pain.

        • It is really a big pain for us to go through the process!

  • +1

Mine is rejected too … shopback sucks. I made a similar purchase on cashrewards and it was honored. I wont be using shopback again.

  • In one of the comments, it says must be activated 90 days from the end of the calendar month the sim card is bought. So if bought in early May, it should be 90 days from 31st May, i.e last day of activation is 29 August, is this correct? As I almost forgot and just activated mine today.
