1/2 Price Essano Skin Care, 40% off Maybelline Rimmel Revlon EcoTools Sally Hansen Manicare Mco @ Woolworths

120

Woolworths has a few notable beauty specials in this week's catalogue.

1/2 Price Essano

Essano is a New Zealand company that specialises in organic and cruelty-free skin care and hair care products. I haven't tried their products personally but online reviews are very positive. One of their popular products is their rosehip oil that includes acai berry, and is currently $9.95 for 20ml. Rosehip oil contains linoleic acid, linolenic acid and pro-vitamin A, is rich in antioxidants helps with the effects of photo-aging, and brightens complexion. It also lightens scars. You can use a couple of drops at the end of your evening skincare routine. You may have to wait a few weeks to see visible results but it does seem to work. Other highly rated products include their rosehip SPF 15 moisturiser (now $10) and argan oil hair serum (now $8). See beauty heaven product reviews sorted by rating.

    photo-aging,

Is that caused by having too many selfies taken with the flash on?

    • It's actually premature aging of the skin caused by exposure to UV rays.

  • Thanks for your post OP
What do you recommend for daily moisturiser during day? And for the night?

I am a man if it does matter

    • May I ask what your skin type is - dry, normal or oily? And are you usually indoors or outdoors during the day?
Edit: And do you have any existing concerns - e.g. acne, wrinkles etc. If you prefer, send me a PM instead.

      • Thanks will PM. No concern just want to have a bit a healthier skin.

FYI Sally H is 50% off at priceline

    • Thanks, deal updated with credit to you.

  • I used The ModelCo macadamia face oil before and it was really light and beautiful to use. Unfortunately seems like nobody stocking them anymore. I tried other brand (can't remember the name) of rosehip face oil and it was so thick my skin couldn't breath, just wondering can you recommend another face oil that is not heavy please.
I also used the Swisse facial products and they are sooooo heavy on the face even my mum (mature skin) won't use it !

    • I don't have much personal experience, I've only ever tried rosehip oil (not Essano but from The Ordinary) and squalane as facial oils. Rosehip is considered a dry oil, smells a little, but squalane is supposed to be a bit more lightweight in comparison, and you can even use it on your hair. The Ordinary makes squalane and you can buy it from adorebeauty for $13.90.

The Ordinary makes many oils, and their advice is:

So how do you choose an oil best for you? If you have no major skin concerns and simply want a supporting oil in your regimen, Marula Oil is best. If you want an oil that targets signs of ageing, Rose Hip Seed Oil is best. If your skin or hair is super-dry, Argan Oil would be best

We haven't mentioned Squalane here but if you simply want a very lightweight, odour-free oil alternative, our 100% Plant-Derived Squalane which can be mixed with oils if desired, is a superb hydrator

  • DAMN! I just bought an Essano product for my wife yesterday from Chemist Warehouse for $14.50 and now its on half price for $8!! :@

    • 'Doh! Hate it when that happens :(

    • Actually I think you can return things to Chemist warehouse within 7 days, if you can be bothered. Just be aware that Woolworths does not carry the full range of Essano so make sure you can get the product before you return.

      • Not sure if I can return something in-store if it was bought online though? EDIT: Sorry I just read the link, looks like I can. Hmmm. Off to Woolies to see if I can get a hold of the product first!

        • Hmm might be worth contacting CW customer support just to be sure.

        • @moocher: I just ended up buying two more of the same product from Woolies. Worst case scenario I have to keep the one I bought from Chemist Warehouse and my wife has a spare (which she'll probably chew through quickly anyway). The worst worst case scenario is that I return the one from CW and cant find any more of the item in any Woolies :( #firstworldproblems.

        • @Trishool: Ah ok. At least you've got the required product this way.
