  I am guessing these are USB soldered onto the board, so cannot be removed and used as regular hdd.

  These are the newer models with much improved transfer speed over WD Elements plus better software for encryption and cloud storage, etc. Got a 4TB from Amazon($150AU) a while back and yes they are a bit bigger than normal but I don't make a habit of carrying hard drives in my pocket. So if you want faster speeds it's one of the best for usb 3.0
  Also if its a black only colour for that price, why put a pic of a white version lol
