      Best to check on the Castrol site, VW have certifications your engine may need. I need the Castrol Edge Titanium "Longlife" version for my diesel.

        Oils aren't created equally. This model may not meet VW's spec for durabilty, sludge, wear etc.

      Your manual tells you the oil required which is a 504.00/507.00 oil and this is not suitable.
