Starwars Drones by Propel $97 with Bonus Extra Battery Via Redemption @ Harvey Norman

20

May the 4th be with you!

There are various drones available (x-wing, tie fighter, speeder bike) at $97 although local store stock tends to vary. These are available from JB at $96 but only come with one battery. The HN ones have a bonus battery via redemption which is a painless process.

Battery is priced at $14.95 plus postage. They are express posted so that is another $5-$10. I got mine within 2 business days.

These are not micro but certainly smaller drones. They can apparently reach speeds of 55kph. They are great fun and the remote control plays music and sounds with some Starwars quotes thrown in for good measure. Apparently you can play laser tag with the drones too but I haven't tried that or know if you need an add-on.

Just to be clear these are the standard editions not the collectors editions which retail for about $220 although the actual drones are just the same.

If you go in-store you can try the old OzB haggle - I got mine for $90 although YMMV. Would make a nice xmas pressie for fans too!

Much cheaper at Myer ($79.96) at the moment. Maybe can get JBhifi or Harvey Norman to price match.

    • No extra battery redemption though?

    • Thanks… I grabbed one at Myer (with free shipping at the moment)… not fussed about the battery and certainly not worth $20… can prob get of ebay/china for a fraction of that…

      • FYI the battery is not a generic. It's a certain shape and say for the X-wing it comes attached to another cockpit piece so you actually change the whole cockpit when changing the battery.

        • Yes I remember now… they are part of the model… I have the speeder bike and forgot that.. (getting confused with my sons quadcopter which was a generic)… oh well…
