Domino's rip off! 3 pizza's $56.75 - what is going on?!

Hi, i sometimes use coupons and got a 50% off one in my email.

So i thought ok, ill go for 3 pizza's… the price seamed high about $28

so i thought the coupon had not been applied, and i figured ill remove it and re added it, when i removed it, the price went up to $56.75..i thought to my self wtf!?!?!

are they serious, so now basically your are forced to order with coupons…

my local does 2 for $34 delivered and there is twice as much topping as domino include in 3 of theirs.

pretty disappointing.

can anyone tell me what is going on?

i am really baffled.

    Dominos model is based on offers, coupons and BOGOF etc. No one pays full price except when unknowing, desperate or company orders etc which they make even more money.

      It's actually kind of the same with ebay now. If you're buying something on ebay from a small seller and you forgot to apply a code, most likely you're paying above RRP due to price inflation forced by the Seller Fees. Big sellers usually absorb the fees but small ones can't

      The eternal 5 percent coupon just offsets that inflation.

        Big sellers adjust their prices by about 16% to cover the 10% fees as well…

        Seen it with Kogan, Catch and more

    but the issue im struggling with is that even with coupons, they have not become too expensive, i thought a 50% off coupon would be a great deal.. Nope.

    so really unless they have super 75% and over coupons it's not worth it.

    You serious? You are not forced to eat pizza, and you are not forced to buy from them. Dominos can sell their pizza at whatever price they want, even at their own demise.

      without coupons there's like something that equates to a $9 delivery fee on the first pizza (garlic prawn and mega meatlovers are the same range so that's where that difference comes from)

        Prawn and chicken has premium surcharges if I recall correctly. That's probably where the high price is coming from.

        Yeah use the coupon codes man I never do more than $11 a pizza delivered with coupon codes.
        My record is about $8.50 delivered using the design a pizza hack on some 50% menu price delivery and pick up deals.

        Pick up I have seen $3.50 somehow done before but can't remember it nowm

    This is what non-chain shops charge. You know there's something wrong if their multinational competitor can go down so cheap. Like what? Do dominoes not pay their workers or something?

    The problem started when Domino's popped into your head. If you're not drunk or incredibly hungover then do yourself a favour and get some decent pizza elsewhere.

    I only order $5 value range bangers. They aren't great but they do the job in filling my stomach.

      I had a $5 one last night. Its over 1000 calories, so its about half your daily calorie intake. Heaven knows what these $25 ones are like.

    Man, even with those deals in store poster itself you should not spend more than $35 in Domino's. Sign up for their newsletter then you will spammed with their daily coupons goodness. Tuesday offer seems the best.

    I have worked in Domino's and usually we are not making any money or making bare minimum on$5 pizzas. the reason it is still there is so more people come through the door in hunt of$5 pizzas and end up ordering sides and other pizzas where we make money

    on $5 we would make like 30 cents after paying everything.. where as on normal pizzas usually it is 15-20% profit on average.. sides have the biggest amount of profit.. usually cost less than a dollar for garlic bread and less than a dollar for 1.5 l drink.. but sold for 4.95 each

    OP, its obviously a website glitch. Refresh the page, clear any vouchers, and try again.

    3 pizzas for $28 delivered is not expensive and is actually cheaper than the usual 3 pizzas delivered code here. The last 3 pizzas delivered code was 3 for $29.

    As you yourself noted, your local pizza place is much more expensive, at 2 pizzas for $34.
