  • No bargain listed ie was $X now $Y with free shipping.

    Android devices not Andorid devices.

    • Thank you for the correction.

  • Quick charge?

    • Yes, it's fast charging magnetic cable.

      • Yes or no, will it do turbo charge on a motorcycle g5+

        • Yes it does fast charging compare to normal chargers.

        • @austicshop:
u ar a "Store Rep", shouldn't reply something like this when u have no idea what he talking about.
Turbo charge uses the data + and - pins to supply different/extra voltages and currents to charge quickly, as long as the cable can be used as a data cable then it will support turbo charge between a compatible device and charger.
i don't know whether ur cable can be used as a data cable or not but one thing is for sure, ur cable wont charge faster then other cables, a good cable may have a lower resistance, but with high voltage turbo charging those differences can be ignored.

What version of QC does it support?

        • Can you please elaborate further?

          @austicshop:
Quick Charge is a technology found in Qualcomm Snapdragon systems-on-chip, used in devices such as smartphones and computers, for managing power delivered over USB. It offers more power and thus charges batteries in devices faster than standard USB rates allow.

    • Quick charging depended the device and charger, doesn't matter what cable.

      • It does depend on the cable. Can't fast charge OP devices without official dash cable, plenty other situations that require a quality cable.

BlitzWolf cables can tow a 1.5t car, can yours do this?

Rep - does the cable actually come with the adapters shown in the picture? Or are those extra?

    • Yes it comes with Type C, Micro USB and Lightning magnetic connectors.

We have received exclusive distribution rights to sell across Australia and New Zealand from the company who developed this cable and started shipping this cable from last week to Australia wide.

    • Backer #245 here. Being able to buy the same product from an exclusive distributor before getting my Super Early Bird pledge reward is a damn joke.

Not to be confused with Anker Cable…

  • So the tip is meant to stay in your phone?

Also, the list of devices on the website is very wrong.

    • Yes tip is stayed with Phone. Please review one of the image on product page which clarifies the compatible device types.

      • Hi Rep,

Check out the image on the product page with the iPhone's added to the USB-C column.

Also, it's very noteworthy that it makes no sense to leave the tip in the phone for anyone that uses the headphones for an iPhone 7, 8 or X.

well, it is not PD cable. Doesn't mention MFi either.

    • You wont get MFi for anything that works with none apple devices. Learnt this following a Kickstarter for a dock that supported iphone and micros usb connections.

      • Fair enough. But st least PD cable though.

  • Looks cool, can I use it as USB data cable for PC?

    • We recommend to use this cable only for Charging purpose.

      • Recommended, but will it work?

        • In most cases, it will not work. However, sometimes it may work if you connect the cable to PCs which has OS Microsoft Window 7 plus or Mac OS X 10.8 plus. Hence we are not recommending at the moment to use for data transfer purpose.

Maybe a good idea to read through the Comments left by others first

    www.kickstarter.com/projects/711921138/anchor-cable-last-cab…

  • Better to buy from a store on Aliexpress for 1/4th the price than buy from here (considering the comments from their kickstarter backers)

    • You mean, the same cable is available via Aliexpress for $10? Can you send a link? That sounds a great price.

  • I think these detachable tip cables are great and a no-brainer. Here is why:

One of the first things to fail on an otherwise carefully maintained -but often cable charged- device, will be the charging port due to the continuous wear. Keeping the tip in (Samsungs and the likes have separate 3.5 audio, so no loss of functionality) to connect with a magnetic cable like this Anchor one, can eliminate this damage. Your device can last and serve many years. An all round inconspicuous protection cover helps too, for light protection (but a tough bumper case for regular use). A good quality braided magnetic cable with a LED indicator is what I got from eBay.

I actually go further to ensure battery longevity too. However divided the opinion on the matter may be, fast charging ruins the battery. I have fast charging turned off while wireless charging on my device settings. Overnight, I use a wireless charging pad connected to a very low wattage charger (a gear S2 smartwatch charger delivering just 350 mA) to top up the device really slowly. It takes well into the dawn to do so. Around six hours. But, you are not in a hurry when sleeping, are you? And then, I have a QC3 charger set-up with the above-mentioned magnetic cable whose tip resides in the Note8's charging port permanently, (with fast charge-activated-when-cable-charging in the device settings) for the rare occasions warranting a fast battery top-up.

I think this is an optimal arrangement. Best of both worlds. That's why I'll consider a higher quality magnetic cable like the one being discussed here, though not worth $40.

    What do you guys think?

    • I read your whole post and think it makes sense.
