Think it needs to be cheaper to be an attractive option IMO. It's pretty easy getting a well-known branded washing machine for about $600 (there as a Whirlpool one advertised earlier today for 560 I think) so the price difference is minimal.

  agreed. I saw this was coming up, but still ended up spending some more and getting a Bosch. PS: Don't forget to haggle when buying whitegoods at lareg retaillers. As much as I tend to dislike Harvey Norman's prices, they ended up being able to do me the best deal (went to them, Bing Lee and Good Guys. They could all beat appliancesonline's list prices, which was unexpected. Does anyone know if you can haggle with appliancesonline?)
