Overseas Car Rental Cover with AmEx

Hi guys,

I have Amex Explorer card with travel insurance and car hire damage cover.
I will be travelling overseas, where Amex cards are not widely used. I was wondering if there was any workaround of still getting covered with Amex rental car insurance with the rental company that doesnt accept Amex?
For example - using pre paid visas that i have bought with Amex.

I am open to your suggestions.

      Have you ever called them?
      You cant get any answers out of the guys @ chubb. They just read you the T&C. But thats the reason im asking you guys here, that i would prefer an answer in english not in insurers jargon

    Are you sure the Amex Explorer insurance covers rental cars?

      Yes, they call it Car hire damage cover
