Dell XPS 13 13.3" Touchscreen Laptop 9360, Worth it?

Hello : )

Do you have any experience with this laptop, if so would you think it's currently worth purchasing?

My main intent of this machine is for it to be mostly a travel companion when i go on holidays, consume media and photo editing.

Worth a buy @ this price?
Is it else where any cheaper?

Thanks!

  • the webcam is located at the bottom of the screen, so might not be as appealing; as the other party will see your nose :)

    • some reviewers say you can just flip it (the whole screen) to circumvent that

  • +1

That's expensive, with discounts you can get fairly close to that on the newer model (9370)

You are paying a significant premium for slightly lighter weight and better looks - you can get reasonable specs in say a ThinkPad E480 for a lot less. Bit heavier, probably just as reliable, no touch screen.

  • I had the exact laptop - expereince wasnt great.

Not worth the premium price point. I may just have had a bad unit, but i sent it for repairs/warranty claim 3 times in a year.

HAve since upgraded to XPS 15 (non touch screen) - far better experience, plus teh keyboard is way better, nto sure why.

  • Higher specs and cheaper from Dell, plus current promo 10% credit back, so you can get yourself a backpack or a monitor.

  • I bought this one early 2017:

    Within first 4 months:

    1. Battery was replaced
    2. Wifi was replaced

    Overall:

Great laptop but quality built is mediocre….. I would probably suggest to wait for the 2018 model.

    • Damn, who was the repairs done by, dell?

      How long was the process?

      • with xps, should be on site.
