Fastway Couriers - Missed Delivery

Ordered some networking gear for our new house, delivery was scheduled today.
Have been home all day, left the front door open (just the security screen closed).

Just checked on the status of the delivery, apparently, they attempted delivery at 10:54 AM, they reported no one was home so they left with parcel with a collection agent at my local shops.

Just looked outside, there is no card or letter notifying the attempted delivery.
Checked cameras, no one came up to the front door.

Try to contact fastway to get the collection detail?

it's so fast that your camera & eyes failed to capture it

Sounds to me they went to the wrong house, that's why the note isn't at your place.

Call them up and ask for details.

Sounds like the standard operating procedure for Fastway.

Fastway is crap. Actually they are worse than crap.

Take it up with the seller and tell them you won't use them again because of their courier.

I know I won't! Any one want some really cheap fastway labels?

Sloway are the worst courier company in Australia. If I'm going to buy something online I always message the seller first to be sure it won't be sent with them.

      heard of e-go yet?

    I've had the same experience.
When I checked the tracking history, the timestamp for 'left depot' and 'delivery attempted' was 2 seconds apart… pretty clear they weren't attempting delivery at all.
And then it took 5 times to call them up, get them to reschedule delivery which didn't happen before I had to call again with a 'firmer' tone to get them to actually deliver my package.

This was my experience with Fastway. At least the delivered the card, just not the package.

That said, they did deliver my last package OK from the same winery. I think, it just depends on who is doing the delivery. I suspect the go to is to drop it at the default place and just say you weren't home if delivery is at all inconvenient to them.

You can raise an issue with them but I'm not sure you will get anywhere with the complaint. I would still complain, though, particularly if you have camera footage for the timeframe. Ask them if they are getting the invisible man to deliver to you nowdays.

Something shifty from that delivery person. ( you should contact your seller. ).

Fastway couriers are beyond doubt the worst courier company in Australia. BB's are littered with complaints of slow and non-existent delivery attempts. Avoid them at all costs.

      Couriers Please are much worse.

      • Couldn't agree more regarding couriers please! It took us a week and countless phone calls to get a package that was marked for next business day delivery.

Had an experience with Fastway recently. Tracking said that my ionic watch from Amazon au had been delivered whilst I was away at a conference. I arrived home 3 days after the alleged delivery and no item or card at my address. This was a Saturday so sent an email to the local depot and a couple of hours later I see someone walking up to my front door then walk away without knocking. I open the door and there is a pakage on my porch and a Fastway courier van pulling away from the kerb. Got my watch so no big deal but have no idea why it was delivered three days late or whether the email was a catalyst.

  • I suspect the courier is under the pump so they just deliver a bunch to connecting outlet and then indicate no one home. Cards arent left as they never turn up. Yourve just proved it with cam. Crap service. Couriers are meant to deliver. My couriers please guy even comes after hours.

I've never had a drama with Fastway, Startrack & Australia Post yes! I recently ordered an Express Passport (days before heading overseas) & was waiting at home everyday for its 'Express' delivery & checking letterbox every 1/2 hr to be confronted by a 'missed' delivery card the day before we were due to leave saying that it could be collected after 9am the following morning.

I raced back inside & checked the CCTV & the turd of a Postie had pulled up, looked towards the front door, lit up a smoke & proceeded to fill out the card.

HE SAT THERE HAVING HIS SMOKE LONGER THAN IT WOULD'VE TAKEN HIM TO WALK TO THE FRONT DOOR!!!

I took a video of this with my phone & went down to the LPO furious. They gave me the 'it's nothing to do with us, you'll have to call the 13 number'

I informed her of my disgust & that this ain't finished, got straight on the phone to Australia Post & told them what I had just seen & that I wanted to speak to someone who is going to get results as I'd hate for this video to get into the wrong hands.

Long story short, my Passport was hand delivered to me less than an hour later by the Manager of the local Delivery Centre!

    • And that is how you do it. I presume you showed the manager the footage. Must get me a camera, but not sure I want to see what goes on in my laneway.

The postie in my area is pretty good so a lot depends on who you get.

  • Fastway are a joke

    A VERY VERY BAD JOKE

  • Fastway is the WORST of worst. I have had several dealings with them….all with problems

  • Standard - they knock and run, or don't knock at all.

Call up complain and get them to redeliver as many times as it takes for them to get out of the truck.
