How early in general do you need to be at the train station in order to find a parking on weekdays?
My local station gets filled by 6:30! Crazy!!

U should usually get a spot..it just depends how far you're willing to walk.

There are some inner suburban stations car parks - small, boring suburbs that many people have never heard of - that will still have space around 8am-8.30am

Parking at my local station is now gone by 5:30am since some inconsiderate people have parked their construction machinery in some of the spots.
I'm in between 2 stations, both of them have a huge car park but only 1/2 of it is all day parking.. logically it makes a lot of sense /s

I would venture to say at Darwin train station you could rock up at any time and get a parking space.
Darwin CBD underground station is normally pretty packed, but you can normally get a park at Humpty Doo station if you're there before 7am
This is something you should have negotiated before buying a train…
Take a bus from the nearest stop from your house
Few parking usually available @ 7:30 and then almost entirely full by 8.
Berwick is pretty good at all times of the day
6.30AM is about right at my local station. I get the bus. Luckily it's right outside the house and runs express to the station.
That's perfect public transport positioning.
Whereabouts in Melbourne is this?
Just moved to Lilydale in Vic, heading into the city this week so parked at the station for the first time. Half full to three quarters full at 6:45am and filling steadily.
