Would be great to see the Aviation Headsets on sale!

Best thing about these over the newer models is they use a single AAA battery. The newer ones use a fixed lithium battery that will wear out eventually.

    • Yep, thats a huge postive for me.

I really like the bluetooth feature in the QC35 too, I hate wires especially on a cattle class flight.

I upgraded from the QC25 to the QC35 when they came out, absolutely thrilled with the switch. The QC25 were excellent, but wireless with excellent rechargeable battery life was easily worth it for me. Haven't regretted it for a moment.

I actually appreciate the views of posters who compare Theo two. Gives me an opinion to read which can add to my decision making.

    Was $399?
Yeah maybe 2 years ago before the QC 35's came out.

  • How is the sound quality compared to the new QC35ii?

    • Not an audiophile, but I have these and my other half has the qc35s. I can't tell the difference.

    • Qc35 has b.t and google assistant. But no difference in sound quality from memory

      • Equaliser in the 35s is better, bass more pronounced.

Honestly can't say better or worse, but I found both perfectly good for enjoying music and movies with terrific noise cancellation.

Could never go back to wired headphones though, QC35 (or II) every day of the week.

    • I really appreciate being able to set the noice cancelling level on QC35ii to high/low/off. From memory when noise cancelling is on the QC25s and QC35iis sounds really similar, but for situations you don't need full NC, being able to go to low/off improves the sound quality for the QC35iis.

    • Got the QC25 and QC35ii no difference in sound quality or noise cancellation.

  • So those are wired?

Yes. My kids can’t believe it.

Thanks. I can't believe it. Hi dad hi mum

  • I was going get the Plantronics BackBeat Pro2 for 162.00, but I presume these would be better? Have no idea about headphones. Just have a cheap 60..00 pair at the moment which I don't really like. (RIG 400).

    • Link please to Plantronics BackBeat Pro2 for 162.00…

  • Great NC headphones. I prefer the QC20 in ear as they're so much easier to pack and offer amazing NC (have both). Both have ok sound quality but personally wouldn't use these to listen to music or general entertainment if NC is not required.

    BT dongle for QC25

Would get another one if this headset drops around $200.

    My setup

    • The dongle works well? Does it power from the headphones or what? I've seen this but it's expensive for a single use device, want to be sure it's good quality. Does it lower the sound quality? Sturdy?

      • It works well (sound wise), no drop off for me so far. Can't remember how long the charge last and you have to charge it with its own standalone proprietary charging cable. It can't be powered from headphone.

Imho I don't use this dongle often as my flac player has a DAC function so mostly I uses cord. Bought it from Amazon US around AUD$100 last year.

  • Has anyone had issues with video syncing and the audio lag of Bluetooth?
