  • Has anyone had any luck with tempered glass screen protectors for the Note 8 ? I never found one that worked on my previous phone, the 7 Edge.

    • pretty much the majority of tempered glass screen protectors for s8/s9/note8 only adhere to the sides of the phone. whitestone dome is the only brand that seems to stick to the entire screen.

recently theyve managed made full screen adhesive dry application screen protectors that have a silicon adhesive across the entire thing and still cover the edges

bought one from ebay for $16 for my s9+ and it applied pretty nicely no bubbles and perfect glass feel but it lasted for around a fortnight and then suddenly shattered for no reason at all. Using the phone for a second, left it on desk, come back and its shattered. I previously tried using a plastic protector but the feel is awful and my oily ass hands constantly made rainbow streaks across the screen. so after dropping $30 or so on screen protectors I gave up and decided to go naked.

cant say anything about the whitestone dome as its way too expensive but i have read it having the same issues as my full screen adhesive glass protector where it breaks for no reason within a month of use.

        • Can you provide a link to your one ??

        • @astarman: This One is what I got. Looks like they upped the price a bit

    • Yea nothing worked for me. I don't want to buy the White stone dome for $70, its way over priced. So I've given up on screen protectors and just put all my faith in my Spigen case. But I am getting more and more micro scratches every month.

  • Description gives me faith. Thanks

  • Bought 2, one for s8+ and s9+. Thanks.

So you don't like the Whitestone dome screen protectors? https://www.amazon.com/Dome-Glass-Protector-Dispersion-White…

This one is full glue. The only thing I don't like about them is they have the black edges and leaves gaps between itself and the case.

    • Not sure what date the seller is referring to when he says there is no successful full glue for S9+.
I've used the one on ebay and bought some from China for around $7 each and they were full glue and fitted perfectly with no halo / air bubbles on sides.

If you do get Halo on Full Glue it means the screen protector is misaligned, I had to jiggle it left and right a few times to ensure that it is perfectly aligned with the screen to get 0 halo.

I hate using side adhesive ones like the ones which the seller is selling, as they only really last like 2 weeks before the glue becomes weak and the screen protector starts "creaking"

      • can i ask where you got it so cheap?

      • I too would be interested in where this one was from? Was it Clear or black as the one linked above?

  • Zag sapphire glass curve is full glue. Been using them for a year

  • I advise against tempered glass protectors for curved displays. Only the curved part is adhesive. Dust will get under the screen and there will be a gap between screen and protector, making it not sensitive to touch.

    Bad idea.

    • Agreed, I bought a cheapie curve glass for S8 from MSY and threw it the next day as the edge glue is useless.

      • Everyone makes that mistake the first time.

It was a rude awakening for me. I always buy tempered glass.

  • I think that description saved me spending more money, was having issues with a previous one I brought and ordered a few other branded ones, this actually looks like it fixed my issue :) thanks

As the brand isn't listed on this I think ill not have one of these as a spare, is this from a specific brand? Max3d? Nuglas?
