Carlyft - $5 off First Ride

87

Carlyft is the latest rideshare company
It looks very good and already has a number of drivers signed up and ready to go.
I haven’t used it myself yet but I will for my next trip.
Standard referral system $5 off first ride.

As someone pointed out, first ride free. Maybe the $5 thing work on next paid ride.

They're going to need to do better than $5 off your first ride if they want marketshare

The name itself will stop them from having marketshare.

      • What's in a name?

I legit read it as Carly-ft, and was trying to figure out what the heck it was.

Based on the low quality logo as well generic web and app design, I'd be willing to bet this has been hastily chucked together using one of the many "Uber Clones" that you can purchase, for example https://www.elluminatiinc.com/uber-clone/

    • Actually first ride is free with promo code:

Not that I am endorsing this rideshare company in any way.

  • Type a random phrase “QUICK SERVICE FULFILMENT USING TECHNOLOGY TO MAKE TRANSPORTATION HASSLE FREE FOR EVERYONE” from their blurb into Google, and you will find a large number of companies making the exact same promise….

Not sure why the OP claims that “it looks good” because there’s no information on which to make any sort of judgement!

Some dodgy clone - References to "GoSpAXI" (https://partner.carlyft.com.au/opisapeanut). Domain registered with Godaddy. No HTTPS. Fake Insta followers. Who is upvoting this bargain?

    • Upvoted comment. This is literally a copy/pasta Uber/Lyft clone that took 5 mins to spin up. The real problem is you are giving your credit card, phone number, email to random 3rd party unattributed companies. Good luck unsubscribing to that. AVOID.

    • Agree.

  • Checked it out and agree with the others, it's a dodgy clone.

  • I agree with other posters - this is dodgy and I wouldn’t give my credit card details and personal info to them at all.

  • I wouldn't exactly go giving my credit card details to a barely heard of Uber clone with bad website copy, started three months ago, using a name which is dangerously close to a registered trademark of one of the three "rideshare" giants, and a registered business address of a residential property in Sydney with claims of tens of thousands of drivers and a reference to a website in the EU that doesn't even exist. I'm going to guess OP is Carlyft.
