suddenly every store sell cheap HP…

They're trying to get rid of it all before the 'Sandy Bridge' chips are released. Buy now, regret later.

i see. but i think never buy new realease stuffs/things/items/etc..coz you will pay premium. well, unless you are the trend setter - type of person who want to have the latest as soon as possible :)

try to find "sweet spot" if you know what i mean.

      • Agreed.

  • 7200 rpm hdd is nice to speed things up.

its cheap bc it's a piece of crap. i had one. for 6 months then offloaded to my inlaws. lol, piece of crap. batt drain etc. heat.

    • Yes low end HPs definately leave something to be desired, especially the warranty.

this is cheap, compared to staticice the cheapest is $986, doesn't matter how crap it maybe, its still cheap compared to all other stores by a fair bit. i thought they addressed the overheating issues in these models?

  • is this seller even Legit? No ABN etc?

HP rated about the worst in terms of return rates in a recent survey by an American extended warranty company. Buy an Asus or Toshiba, who rated best.
