    I have a similar model. (FH1, has OIS, imported for similar price.)
    The video is recorded in 720p format, but the real resolution is nowhere near as good as proper 720p from a good video camera.
    Also, it is mjpeg, which means massive files for the (poor) image quality. You really need to transcode everything.

    It is a fine camera for stills, but I would not recommend it for more than the occasional video.
    The best you can say is that it looks better than the video from my mobile phone :-)

    P.S. having a 28mm wide angle lens is very useful.

    Not a bargain, this camera is available at Bing Lee in Silver and Black online and in-store for the same price $99, and since it's Bing Lee, you can get it for a couple of dollars less through negotiation.

      This does not apply to states outside of NSW because Bing Lee don't have stores anywhere apart from ACT/NSW.
