Epping might be the only store in Vic with stock.

    • Nothing there. The female at the counter said they don't sell PC games. I showed her this, she had a look around but no luck.

      • same here. The male at the counter said they don't sell PC games.

        • Wow….same responses at Chatswood as well……although there was a ton load of sims expansions laying at the bottom row…….

Is this another no stock except in TAS kinda post?

    • +3

My store in NSW had about 5 copies. I didn't Broden though.

      • Can you post receipt so we can price match at different stores

        • Sorry mate, won't be back home until 5:45.

        • +3

So the receipt is pretty pointless as it just says PC GAME but here it is anyway https://i.imgur.com/3EaHb5A.jpg

        • @Jamiea:
Dam. Thanks though. What zelda did you get?

        • @Blitzfx: BOTW

        • @Jamiea:
I can't believe you got that for $5. Which console?
          I think that's a bigger deal imo

        • @Blitzfx: Wii U

      • Plenty of copies on ebay will be available soon for $50 by brodeners.

    • None in southern TAS

    • +2

Nothing is ever available in Tasmania.

      • Or they keep the price high. I did manage to grab Mario Party Wii U though for $5.

  • +2

    Limited stock
    Kadina

  • +3

Would EB Games or another game store price match?

    • +5

I think they only match if local stores have them in stock or is available on the target website.

      • it is on the target website (how has no one checked?) and I just price matched 2 copies at EB Games by showing the target website on my phone.

    • No way in hell!

    • -1

      Never with clearance stock

  • +1

No stock in WA at all, but still up voting due to the awesome price.

  • Yeah I'm not seeing any stock in QLD either

  • +1

How accurate is targets online store stock listings? Tempted to just make the drive to my local store just to see, even though it says no stock.

    • -7

Don't you own a phone? Call them.

      • So you can wait on hold for ages, for them just to check the same stock listings as you just checked?

        • +23

We actually go and physically check for stock.

Edit: Unless you're giving us attitude, then we just check our phones and say "no".

        • +1

They check physical stock when you call up to ask and there's have confirmation from a Target employee that they do.

It would have been a lot easier for Androso to call that than rely on conjectured posts from OZB members like yourself who give incorrect information and downvote helpful advice. It's also easier than driving.

Salty downvoters, smh. Had he taken my advice he may have got a game, now he's probably driving to check the stock based on bad advice while someone else calls up and puts it on hold.

        • @c0balt: I ALWAYS call before I go. Fuel is super expensive & my time can never be bought again!

    • +4

Depends on the department, for entertainment, it's pretty accurate. High theft areas, not so accurate.

Apparently AU servers for Battlefield haven't been working for a long time like 6 month or somnething. So maybe don't get if you want the multiplayer…

    • +1

They're working but they're pretty much dead.

      • +2

        Weeellllllll… yes and no.
The servers had been having issues for a while now but seems OK now (played on Friday). Numbers are low but you can still get into a match quickly. There are about 4-5 AU servers that seem to be always at the 60+ players mark.

        • Servers for BF4 in Australia have a similar population to that :-)

        • @klaw81: The argument was that the servers were dead, not that they had a massive online player base.

        • @klaw81: Tried playing BF3 recently. There's a server with like 15 people on…. once a week, that's the max.

        • @StoneSin: just dave steve and his mates hahah lol playing every week once a week

        • agree, I have not played in a while, jumped in a game this weekend and filtered by 'conquest' servers in Australia only that has players in them… I got 12 servers back of which 11 of them were full with 64 players each and one had 3 players, jumped in that and it filled up in about 2-3min and was playing so not too bad… I did not have any issues with the server but like I said I have not played for some time but my experience over the weekend was good and no trouble at all…

      • +3

Repectfully thats rubbish. Was on it last night, and least 8 full 64 player servers. Use the server browser, not quick match.

        • Only at least 8 full? That still sounds pretty limited compared to other FPS.

      • Wow? Really? Wasn't that hot stuff just before Christmas?

        • was

        • @nurries:

Damn! This is why I don't spend money on online only or online required games.

        • +1

          @syousef:

Most fps games on PC tend to do this. Few exceptions like CS:GO. Don't let it put you off online games, take a look at GTA V Online for example, still going strong after 4.5 years.

        • +4

@syousef: The single player part of this game is well worth $5 alone.
          :)

        • +2

          @NFS:

Yeah I'd still buy it for the single player mode for $5. Sounds like I won't get the chance though.

        • +2

@syousef: True that. Stock is low to non-existent.

    • i was chatting with an admin on one of the aussie bf1 servers the other day about this and the d&ckhead reckoned it was facebook ddos the aust servers.
      what an idiot

  • +2

    Not even worth $5.
EA can go E(at) A Dick.

    • True bought it for usd40 back on days didnt even interest to play for a week

  • They're practically giving it away.

    • +3

Personally I would rather take some chips or a pizza.

      • mmmm cheesey crust

        • +1

I wonder if they can do that on a puff pastry.. mmm

  • Nice deal OP, definitely worth it at this price. With a decent rig it will look stunning as well. I do wish Target kept more stock in their PC "section".

  • DLC are going free (russian DLC at the moment, best in my opinion) on the lead up to BFV through origin. Buying now would mean you'd be getting the game and most of the DLC for $5.

  • Anyone feel free to buy this on my behalf and i'll pay you back :P

Hate Origin but for $5 i'll stand it enough to play the single player campaign

    • seems like they are already out of stock

  • For a second there i thought this was for a nintendo 3ds and was going what

  • +1

Black Ops 3 on PC also this price, 1 left at Camberwell Vic

    • Was $10 months ago.

    • I saw it today for $10 but already have it.

  • +1

None at Target Glen Waverley and Forest Hill.

  • +3

I know it's semi unrelated so neg me if you have to, but the current PSN $18 double deal with Titanfall 2 is pretty good if you want BF1. Pretty much comes to $9 per game which is fine for two short single-player AAA campaigns assuming you don't have either.

    • is there even anyone still playing titanfall 2?

      • No idea. I just bought the double pack so I could play both short but excellent campaigns for ~$9 a pop.

        • i gave up trying to play at least 6 months ago, would spend more time waiting to find a server than actually playing

    • Titanfall 2 is even more dead !!

  • -5

    Got 2 copies

  • WHAT.A.STEAL.

  • +1

Battlefield 1 for 5 bucks you have to be joking.

  • +1

wow didn't know Battlefield 1 was on the 3DS.

  • nothing at Ballarat

  • It is on the target website (how has no one else checked that?) and I just price matched 2 copies at EB Games by showing the target website on my phone. $10 well spent

      Where?

I see only PS4 and XB1 unless I am being blind.

      • Here it is

        • Thanks. I wonder why it doesn't come up in "battlefield 1" search results.. clearance reason maybe?

    • Does EBGames pricematch even if it's not in stock in other store (Target here as example)?

      • No normally they will check stock first

  • -3

Personal Opinion: Battlefield franchise needs to expand into the PlanetSide 2 genre. It's hard to play 64 players when other games are doing 100 players.

They have the right idea, graphics and mechanics just need to beat the massively multiplayer genres. I know it can be done.. Just want it done faster.

    /endrant

  • Somerville target had about 3 black ops this morning and a sims game (few copies)

    • Which black ops I think I am missing 1 or 2

  • Target St Marys NSW, has 1 left in stock as of this morning!

    • -1

Buy it and I'll pay you for it lol via PayPal.

  • Just got into BF4 again. Hoping they release premium maps for free again. Or for cheap.
