1.5 stars is a fairly big difference. It is definitely worth the extra $60. You will break even in around 2 years of continuous use.

I really should just replace my current fridge with two of this but old habits die hard and housemates are fairly conventional and stick to the old ways so gotta think of the general public.
I think it may too big for a fridge mod because at fridge temperature you cannot stack too many stuff on top of each other, or they will turn bad easily and contaminate other stuff close-by.
By the way it should be easier to get a portable fridge (like this) and DIY 12/24V solar panel + batteries.
