FREE for Limited Time - Csee Coin iOS app for BTC Markets

270

Hi,
I am the developer behind CSee Coin - one of the best 3rd party apps for BTC Markets users. To celebrate the birth of my first child I am releasing the app for FREE for a limited time! No strings attached.

** UPDATE 1: Seems it takes time for pricing changes to appear in AppStore - Please check back again soon if you're not seeing it as free in AppStore. Please check back again soon. **

Don't settle for a flimsy half-baked mobile website. Use an actual app!

Using CSee Coin you'll be able to closely monitor your portfolio and the price of cryptocurrencies (or crypto-assets) on Australias leading marketplace in REAL TIME.

Please note this is not the official BTC Markets app. It has been created and shaped by loyal users just like yourself. Please provide feedback as to what you like and dislike so that we can all use the best app possible.

Thanks! It's a whole new experience!

  • you should make it available in different currencies

    • It is available worldwide - what country are you in?

It's free now in the AU AppStore. Will give it a go. Thanks OP and congrats!

    • Yes, it's free now, thanks for confirming!

  • Wow, nice, downloaded, and it works great! Thanks!

  • Congratulations on your first born, and thanks for great app for free!

  • side note, anyone here made any large withdrawals from BTC markets?
    Any questioning from ATO?

    Thanks for app :)

    • No, why?

    • Don’t they just flag it ifs its over 10k? to government agencies AUSTRAC, ATO etc

    • If it's through a legitimate ID linked exchange then they know about it and expect them to chase you over the next 5 years of you don't declare the income.

      • I did. I already paid 30% tax in advance to ATO. My advice be honest to ATO and show all the trades. Pay advance tax and claim back with profit/loss.

  • Congrats on the newborn.
    Boy or girl?

why do assume it has to be either of those?

      • +1

Can’t we just let it grow up and decide for itself?

        • Gender, sure - sex, no. The sex is evident at birth.

These two things are often related, not always, but often.

I read it as this app being his newborn. I guess he could be referring to a human baby. Congrats either way.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/266136/global-market-sha…

    Android: 85.9%
    IOS: 14.1%

I appreciate free offers but just for your own financial benefits, you really ought to develop for Android mate. Maybe even before making ios version.

No-one in my extended families EXCEPT my brother's wife's father actually has an iPhone. All various Android.

All the best though - it would certainly actually be an app I would use as I do have some money in BTCMarkets.

In all honesty I started building this app back in October last year so that I could use it myself as a iPhone owner. I was the primary user. After sharing it with some friends and adding more features I decided to sell on the AppStore.

My day job is as a iPhone and Android developer so I am aware of the usage stats differences between these. Specifically, the link you have sent is for global usage stats. Not Australian usage stats. You’ll find a much different stat when you look at Australia alone. Being a app for btcmarkets it makes sense to cater for the Australian market rather than global market.

I plan to eventually build a android version after I’ve built some key functionality into the iOS app. I too have plenary of friends who are using Android. This would happen after I get more breathing space between nappy changes!

Mobile OS market share does not dictate app revenue. The only reason to develop on all platforms is if your app specifically benefits by being free and getting revenue not directly from the app (e.g. Facebook/Ads/Awareness). You'll find recent statistics by Sensor Tower, that the Apple App Store generates on average, just over 4 times the Google Play Store, per app install. Developing for iOS is more appealing too, due to the closed source nature of the OS. The main downsides are issuing and getting approval for updates in a timely manner, adhering to all Apple Store's requirements and the 30% Apple App Revenue Cut.

      • I'm sure you're right but I never really understood that. If your app is great and people want it you can charge the same or more than IOS version entirely up to you.

It's the developer's choice on whether to go paid, free or ad supported.

Maybe ad supported is more lucrative on Android I don't know. Don't forget Flappy Bird was free but the dude was making like $40K a week or something stupid on ad revenue. Surely this kind of thing skews any real statistics?
