Wonder about my choice to succumb to the DELL XPS 15 9560 bargain

So i am actually have a high interest to buy Gigabyte aero 15 /15x / dell xps 15 9570… but i never buy something without a bargain or discount haha… also too be honest 3000 aud for laptop seems quite an overkill as a bargainer myself..

I do need a laptop (never have a laptop) now… likes to game in my previous desktop pc..

But then i saw a rare price bargain posted here by our fellow OZbargainers:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/381673

Sadly that one was out of stock by the time i saw it.. but hey.. i have been thinking a lot about 4k one anyway for the dell xps 15.. so i tried to search the 4k one.. It was still available and i had a feeling that this probably gonna be the cheapest price ever for the brand new condition 9560.. so i rushed to buy it…

The link as follow: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-XPS-15-A560297AU-Laptop/172…

It seems from an official microsoft account… They said a direct item from microsoft store.. looks good..

A 400 cut off + 20 percent ebay promo made me got this one at 2070 aud.. A 4K dell xps 15 with i7-7700 16gb ram and 512 ssd.. i paid 2070 aud but a succesfull cashback etc will mean that i get this one for around 1900 aud..

It looks like a local stock from within Australia.. Better than previous ebay dell that i saw the item is gonna be sent from Dell Malaysia..

My point of view is a 920 aud saving from the newer model xps or 1000+ Aud gigabyte is big enough to be saved..
Also i'm thinking that this one probably can be sold at a bit higher price to someone else..

But i keep wondering to be honest…

What do you guys thinking? Save or get a better model on this position?

As an owner of an XPS 9560, I like the machine. If I was buying today, I would probably get the latest Thinkpad X1 with an eGPU (external graphics processor) for video editing / games. I prefer to buy direct from Dell / Lenovo as I feel like I get better service if an issue comes up and most of the time they can give the best prices (always use the chat option and see if they can do a better price)
