My Xbox live membership expired yesterday with notification via email as I don’t have auto newel setup, I went to the link provided to check the price it said $79, then after clicking continue it provided me a discount for $53 thought it was a great deal

    It’ll be a targeted offer. They do it frequently for users whose membership has lapsed.

      You need gold, but you can probably find codes for mid 50’s rather than paying the full $79 if you look about. Someone below mentioned CDKeys.

      The 3 or 4 games you get a month is a pretty good deal though and a good way to grow your library, so hopefully the value is there.

    Damn mine expired yesterday and I tried to find a discount and could not.

    Ended up paying $59 at cdkeys for 13 months (free month by enabling auto renew)

      Yes they are independent. Have had Gold, then both, then just Game Pass and all work. Now have both again!

    Mine expires on the 6th June checked and it says full price wonder if it change after 6th, I can get it for 59 but that's as I have points to use from a website I buy from,maybe I should go for that?
