What did State of Origin say when you asked them?

    • This feels like it will become a classic OzBargain meme.

NSW beat Qld last Sat night 8 tries to 7. Much better to watch than any leagie game.

      • i don't know what you're talking about.

Fantastic question, OP your homework is to give State of Origin a call to ask them.

    TAB will always win

Germany are probably favourite, but hoping the Socceroos play well enough to get to the next round.

      Partial credit!

  • Go Australia!

  • big don't care vote on this

    • really only means something to Queenslanders, and blues I guess, and those who like rugby league.

I won't try to explain, you either get it or you don't

      • Yes, I understand - the majority don't care

        • majority of what? Did you come here to share that you aren't interested in this discussion, and try to convince us that you have the numbers to justify not being interested??

I usually just don't participate in conversations that don't interest me.

        • @SlickMick: OP invited people to respond, one of the provided options being "Don't care".

        • Yes, that's exactly what I meant - way over 50% don't care and the bikies care a lot

        • @trilby:
okay. I can see you're as passionate about not caring as I am about being a Queenslander :)

  • I think full credit will be given to the boys, attention will also be drawn to the game being one of two halves. The victor will be the one with more points on the board.

    • And the losing team players will be 'gutted'.

      • but their coach will still be proud, as they gave 110%

      • the other team was better on the day

My guess is the blues will win due to a try from a forward pass that got swept under the rug

    • It was obvious in real time. When they went to video I knew it would be overturned. I could not believe they didn't review the entire play. I call rogue refereeing.

We need to get rid of referees. NRL has a lot of work to do in defining the rules clearly - by then AI will be able to referee.

  • 22-12=10-(a converted try ) 6 = still 4 points ahead

    • Firstly, that wasn't the only dodgy call.
Secondly, you can't just subtract the dodgy points and assume that would have been the result.

However, blues played well and maroons didn't defend well, so I'll give you that one

      • Great root cause analysis there. The blues won because………they played better.

        • what root cause analysis? I was merely saying that subtracting dodgy points does not necessarily produce the same result as turning back time and not making the dodgy call in the first place.

As for your brilliant analysis, no one is refuting it. I'm sure we'll hear a lot of it for a couple of weeks, and that's fine - it's a quite unusual event and you should celebrate it.
