TomTom Touch Cardio Fitness Tracker ($50 off) $99+Delivery @ JB Hi-Fi

30

Posting my first deal. Hopefully I'm doing it right.

Was looking to spend my giftcard in store at JB when I noticed the deal a few weeks ago. I like an inexpensive heart rate monitor. However they didn't have any stock left and deal eventually expired. Appears this deal is back on now. Reviews seem average though.

Welcome OP - good first post :)

Hi all, to help fellow OZB peeps I have one of these. Feedback:

In summary - I like it! I would buy it again, and this is a good price.

I use the heart rate feature which is very accurate.

I also use the body fat % feature which is unique to this fitness tracker and at this price point you can't go wrong. They charge $50 to test your body fat at the Gym (its a con they do but still). You could always buy scales that also test this for you but I do like having it on the band and tracking it in their App.

It tracks sleep patterns but after wearing this the first couple of nights to bed I couldn't see the value in tracking my sleep.

The band is very comfy and sturdy, although attaches via two nodules that line up to holes which is a bit strange and on the very odd occasion can come loose, but this keeps it comfy.

It automatically wakes up if you raise your hand to look at the time which is convenient, and buzzes when you get a text or phone call and shows the person (if in your contacts) or number.

… and of course it tracks steps.

The App is pretty good and compares as good to the fitbit App I used to use imo.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you for the awesome detailed review. However I think this one does not have the body fat % feature. I believe the other model might have it? I probably still get it though.

      • Yes my mistake. This isn't a good deal, get the one with % muscle and body fat, they go for not much more than this OP price.

  • Ah the first time, to be young again.

    Isn't that a MiBand 3?

  • I'm after a cheaper version of something like this for the kids.
    Anything that counts steps,
    Heart rate monitor,
& tells the time would be great.

    Any recommendations?

    • The MiBand2 does all those things. Although I find the heart rate monitor to not be terribly accurate. Mine cost $16 from gearbest

  • I misread the title and thought it said Tom Tom Couch Cardio Fitness Tracker.

Might have been more relevant to me lately.

  • Before deciding, also see the Huawei watch band:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/383082

    • Doesn't look like it has body fat and muscle % like the TomTom has.

        @nicksinternet
        Those are nice to have.
Are you sure this model has it - I don't see it is the specs.

        • I think you are right. My apologies. The model I have does and this must be a lower version. Not a good deal then at this price. You can get the model with % muscle and body fat for not much more than around tbis price.
