  • I don't need the NC but soundwise how do they compare to qc35/sony's?

    • I don't own a pair myself but they reviews say they perform well for the money, if not quite at the level of the top end headphones.

If I can convince the Mrs I'll report back with a better description.

      • These are shit, see my comment below for a detailed analysis. I owned a pair and have now switched to Sony1000XM2s.

    • I owned the earlier version - AR3BT and now Bose QC35 ii.
Can confirmed sound quality and battery life is awesome.
Probably best in its class ($100-$250) if you are looking for a decent cans but don't want to spend $350 and more

If anyone is interested in my AR3BT pm me

    • Sound quality of AT's are pretty damn good.

  • Do they have audio lag? Suitable for gaming or no?

    ATH-ANC700BT QuietPoint®
Smaller drivers and shorter battery life

  • So for another 35.00 I could get the active noise cancelling ones. Are they worth it?

    Thanks

    • I want to know the exact same thing! Tossing up between the ATH-ANC700BT and the Sony WH-H900N but can't get any comparisons as the AT's are new to the market. Currently have a pair of ATH-M40x and love them so i'm inclined to save the $30 and go with the AT's but there are some impressive reviews of the Sony's around.

    • I had a pair. The sound is really not good in wireless mode and sounds way better plugged in, but that defeats the point of it being wireless. The wireless mode especially has trouble reproducing bass. Also, the BT pairing and connection is really slow compared to my Sony 1000XM2s which I bought after. Also, they do not block out ANY sound, so be prepared to hear everything in public places.

For what it's worth, the battery life is great and it's sort of comfortable.

I would not recommend, buy the more expensive ones.

      • So you mean the Audio-Technica QuietPoint Wireless Active Noise-Cancelling Over-Ear Headphones for 244.30?

  • Take note: ear pads are not that thick and can cause sore ears.
I don't consider myself as having ears that stick out more than average but the inner hard plastic grill does tend to press on ear and get uncomfortable after 30min and needs regular tweaks to reposition.

  • Pm me if you want a pair of the AR5BT, i can do you a $15 discount shipped to your address

    • Can you still do this price? Can't PM as account is >1 day old.
