need to be fast on hotel bookings. Travel date is august 28th.
i got my flights when kids were half price with qantas, and a hotel in times square shortly after. prices are now $1000 above what i booked at through expedia.Ive just booked nyc accommodation for August. Lowest price I could get was via Cheaptickets promo code

United vs American airlines - which better in customer service/onboard experience? Qantas will always be my last option. I had traveled on qantas to singapore and bali - very average onboard experience compare to Singapore airlines and emirates.
I was checking hotels in new york in Aug - average price for 3 star hotels are $150-200/night for decent stay. is this normal average price?
That’s actually pretty cheap - it’s not uncommon to pay at least $400 a night for somewhere between Times Square and Central Park. I always have pretty good luck with the Last Minute Travel Club - they don’t have all the hotels but they often have some bargains.
If you have more than a few days in New York then don't stay around Times Square.
Stay somewhere within a few blocks of a metro station and near some restaurants and then just get a metro card.
Cheaper, less "tourists", more enjoyable and a better experience in my opinion.
