What is people's option on the i5 8gv ram model
Most people who have reviews the surface laptop (see the verge or Engadget) love the laptop. Recommend purchasing the i5/8gb ram model. But god the price difference hurts. I would only upgrade if you need the extra power. This device would suffice for simple browsing and word processing.

You’d want at least i7 chip on integrated graphics. For increased graphic performance over i5 chips.
Otherwise you’d want discrete graphics - need to look at Surface Books. But they’re big and heavy. Depends on what you’re processing tbh. Raw images 50mb ++?? You probs need discrete graphics. iPhone photos? Integrated is more than enough.

I've been using a 4gb i3 Inspiron 2 in 1 for a couple of years, its still flying for me. This one has a better processor and better construction. SSDs have made a massive difference to performance at the lower end specs, 4GB is fine for the majority of people for work, internet, music etc. I've rarely had a performance issue with Win 10.
I'd buy it if I needed a replacement, good price.
