Premiumcollectables.com.au Has Anyone Received Pre-Orders from Them Lately?

My son has unwisely pre-ordered about $500 worth of collectables that aren't due for several months. We recently came across scathing reviews where it was held unanimously that the site has gone rogue and doesn't deliver.

I would like to know if anyone has received orders from them in recent months. I understand they no longer accept credit cards as too many orders have been refunded by the card companies. I'm not sure if that means we can no longer process a visa claim if the items don't arrive. If they are still delivering on some orders it may be worth the wait, if not then I might have to look into the claim process.

  • Based on their track record I reckon I would be starting the claim process without further delay.
Was it really your son that was sucked in (lol)

    • Yes. I don't trust anyone and always research new stores I deal with. It was my son (although he is 24). He isn't savvy having most stuff done for him (he is wheelchair bound and has some motor skill limitations). I should have watched him closer when we opened a PayPal account for him to make sure he wasn't scammed. There goes 2 years of birthday money. Turns out the site is also down which seems ominous. I guess we will start researching the claim process.

Mate, you are so out of line it's not funny.

Just to be clear, my son is physically disabled not intellectually.

He completed a high school diploma with some assistance in note taking etc. and can make his own decisions. He is a little naive because he has been protected by his family, friends, carers and teachers.

I not only don't have any inclination to treat him as if he were less than any other 24 year old and I have no legal authority to do so. He ALLOWS me to care for him and help him with his needs. He could tell me to go to hell any day of the week and demand a place in a facility or community housing and rely on carers for his needs.

His sister is one year older than him, has less education (she is a hair dresser and left school after year 10) and is not money savvy. My son IS money savvy which is why he now does all his own bill paying and banking online, he just didn't know he couldn't trust this seller or realise he needed to research the site first…THAT I will except is a missed opportunity for teaching him some worldly wisdom but he would have been within his rights to ignore me.

I hope in future you might be a little less judgemental of people and circumstances on the basis of a few sentences. You clearly don't know me or my son.

      While I agree, unfortunately:

$500 worth of collectables that aren't due for several months.

Means that the outfit could validly contest any chargebacks or claims, until at least they've missed the delivery date. You can't make claims or chargebacks based on reputation.

      • I was thinking that. It's my suspicion that they may not actually be trading anymore (surely he must either be bankrupt or be being investigated by now?)in which case it shouldn't be an issue however as you say, if the release date hasn't come due they could reasonably (or perhaps unreasonably considering their record) argue that they will still deliver.

The site is a scam, they haven't been delivering for over a year now. The owner even states to lodge a chargeback dispute if you want a refund (what legitimate business would get the customer to go through that process to get a refund for non-delivery?). Another red flag is that they only accept bank transfer or cryptocurrency, which is super dodgy.

Lodge a dispute immediately and if the bank rejects your claim saying it's been too long since the transaction date, then point to the Visa clause where it states that you can lodge a dispute within 120 days of the expected delivery date (i.e. if it is a preorder, then that means within 120 days of the release). I believe within the Visa guidelines, it is called the "Visa Chargeback Reason Code 30 Time Limit Modifiers". Maximum of 540 days since transaction date though, so if your son ordered it more than 540 days ago, you're out of luck in getting your money back.

  • Love this sight. There is always someone coming to ppls rescue. Good luck OP in getting the money back. These other websites that have recorded incidences of non delivery should be shut down by ACCC.

'They' (more likely 'he,' Scott Dwyer) has been scamming for at least a year. I used them sporadically for Masterpiece Transformers, but since the end of 2016, I received one order, and got nothing but delays on the others (if any response at all). Initiate chargeback ASAP, and make an online formal complaint with the ACCC or Office of Fair Trading (he's based in QLD).

He's clearly running a scam with no intention of fulfilling orders. He posts order pages up almost as soon as new toys are revealed, with shockingly low prices, before other sellers even know the RRP. There are some helpful threads about this guy on OTCA, FB (not the 'official' page, they've been scrubbing comments for a while), etc., about how to get your money back.

    • Thanks. That is helpful. I at least know now that I shouldn't wait to see what happens.

  • Ha!. I looked up the ABN and it turns out he is Victorian registered (his Linkdin says Brisbane) and the business name is Premium Blush registered to Scott Dwyer which is exactly what he should do considering his business reputation. There are some funny results in Google including an interview with him on how he has grown his business however the comment section which includes a legal letter addressing non-delivery is very telling. Seems people are chasing him all over the internet.

  • They were fine up until around late 2016. Then since 2017 it all went downhill from there.
