100 Pieces 3.5cm Diameter Hair Ties from US $1.43 (AU $1.85) Delivered @ AliExpress

1710

there are 4 people with long hair in my house. 3 are students at school which require hair to be tied back. and only using Black or Brown hairbands.

these are perfect.

Mix-colours - US$1.42

Black or yellow are US$1.52 .

other colours slightly more.

Have bought several times before. they very very rarely break.

My kids relish in losing them so I have an annual bulk purchase (bought 200 pieces-might last the year).

similar item bought locally would be 10 for $1.50.

there is this seller who has mixed colour 100 packs that are cheaper but are smaller for US$1.34. I need black

    As a dad of 4 daughters………………..THANK YOU

enjoy the 24 hours of having all of them before you lose them all

      • +3 votes

You don't really lose them all within 24 hours - it's more like a half life, with lost ones randomly turning up where you don't expect them.

    Thanks, perfect for my manbun.

    •

But will they snap on you?

  •

Arent the thinner bands bad for hair? causes more breakage?

every barber i went to said the same until i went for the wider hair ties

    •

I'd be keen for a deal on the wide ones too!

call me paranoid but I've read somewhere that these could potential be made by "refurbished" condoms….

    •

      Whoa! Really?

    •

      that was so debunked.

      • +1 vote

Snopes says there's some truth to it, though I'm not suggesting these ones were.

        •

          ok, interesting.

Just trying to think of a process to segregate used rubbers from other waste for this purpose. Nah……..

No PayPal …? Credit card details safe…?

    • +9 votes

Credit card details are totally safe.

aliexpress/alipay/alibaba is a massive company. think Amazon + Ebay = Aligroup.

I've made 800+ transactions with the same card - never a problem.

      •

        Thanks

      •

I second this. I've made over a hundred transactions over the years with a couple of different cards and haven't had any issues.

    •

Are your credit card details ever actually safe?

      •

Yes! As long as you review your transactions within the eligible dispute period which I believe is 60 days. You should see what a merchant (someone who receives credit card payments) has to endure!

  •

But are they any good? I am very picky with elastics - they must have enough tensile strength and last long enough.

    •

they are good. they are strong. they last.

      • +1 vote

        They're also $2 for 100 pieces.

    • +1 vote

Depends on where you put it, putting at the right places should make u last long enough… ;)

    •

They're very small, half the size of the kinds you'd find in store eg: scunci

Worth a go at $2 though I guess.

    •

If they were good, they wouldn't be selling 100 of them. The good ones that I've had last for years and you'd only need a few of them.

      •

why did you need a few of them? if they were good then you'd only need one.

  •

    Thanks
Sale history shows a bunch of AU flags now ;)

The sound it makes when the rubber band starts to bite! "Aww sheeeeet, my balls, my balls!" Brings tears to my eyes…

        •

Yeah, once you see it only a twisted person would continue paying for wool and lamb's flesh and other sheep products.

@thevofa: Had lamb roast for dinner last night…so delish!

    •

      You have experience with this?

  • +1 vote

Keep in mind that these are very small, only 3cm in diameter (As advertised on their page). My standard sized ones are 6cm and also stretch to double the size of these. I am worried they may be frustrating to use with so little stretch. I suppose it's worth $2 to test them though because the price of hairties instore is crazy :(

    •

I have these. they easily stretch to 10 cm (just measured this). and can go up to 12. they stretch easily over my hand so I can do buns, pony tails, etc.

  •

    Thanks for that

  •

might as well get a job instead

  •

When I got to buy, under the "City" address field, I am not getting suburbs but getting a list of councils… Monash, Hume, Knox, etc.
    image

    •

It's an AliExpress thing sadly. I usually write in the comments of the order the actual address to send it to and have found that sellers will sometimes use the address you provide there instead. Not all the time though…

      •

I put suburbs in the address line/then the "City" in list
p.s: anw, we have the postal code, then everything should be ok.

  •

What would happen to the prices with gst coming 1st july? How would we be charged?

  •

Carefull of cheap dodgy hair tie products :(
Cheap ones from china in the past were used from the rings of used condoms. Doubt these would be them though

    •

Explains why there's already hair tangled around them.

  •

There's definately a difference between quality and cheap hair ties. If you want the hair tie to hold your pony tail up and not stretch out so quick, don't have high expectations from this.

"Girls Elastics Rubber Band Ties/Rings/Ropes Hair Accessories Scrunchie Headdress Mix Color for Women 3 Sizes(30PCS/50PCS/100PCS)"

    •

thanks. didn't notice. have updated post.

  •

I don't know what I'm going to do with 100 hair ties, but this is too good a deal to pass up.

  • -1 vote

these are complete crap, but I bought some for the long haired ones, but they will probably complain like normal….

    • +2 votes

I bought the same ones on eBay - they were tiny! Kinda my fault as I didn’t read the description properly. Since then I got better hair bands off eBay, 50 for $1 delivered. They’re the best hair bands I’ve come across after going through different ones at Kmart and on eBay. All the girls in the office like my man bun/bunch :D unfortunately those ones aren’t for sale for $1 anymore, but for around $2-3 and comes in a multitude of colours. They’re much thicker, softer and tug less on the hair. coloured fluorescent black

    •

some uptight triggered ozbargainers around I see…..

  •

A sure fire way for your girl to turn your 100 bad days into 100 good days.

  •

    Cheers $1.91 here
