We like to see prices. Bargains have prices.

  • Only H7 and H4?

Pretty sure they are not road legal as they always refer to eu regulations not ADRs. Not that cops seem to care, so many crap (aftermarket globes) low beam lights out there now I always flash the painful ones with my light bars to remind them we can both play that game. And don't get me started on some of the bicycle lights, some of them are like high beam, they have no spread pattern and shouldn't be allowed on the road.

    • The bulbs with the blue stripes in them are the worse. I've bought them before for cosmetic reasons (gives whiter light at certain angles) but for the other drivers (especially when driving from behind them) It's blinding. Light beam constantly changes so its like being flashed at every bump and turn.

    • Those led light fitted standard on luxury cars are too bright as well don't you think? I once parked my car next to it could see it 5 times brighter than mine.

I don't know these in particular but people should probably steer away from the more powerful headlights as it normally means they just up the wattage, reducing the life significantly.

Learnt the hard way with the Philips nightvision plus. Would die in roughly 9 months. Then switched to normal spec ones and still going strong. Bulb life generally rated in hours.

Plus they can melt the wiring looms and also the actual reflective panels (depending on the make and model of car of course) causing them to discolour.

No, they are the same wattage/heat as a standard globe.

They just use a different gas inside the globe to make them brighter, however lifepsan of the globe is shortened.

There's no such thing as a free lunch, but if you want brighter lights at the same wattage, it is the way to go.
