$0 Fetch Mini for Optus Sport Premium Customers for 12 Months ($20 Per Month Afterwards)

1930

This seems to be a 'make good' offer by Optus considering the many issues they had over the weekend streaming their World Cup coverage - essentially if you're an Optus Sport 'Premium' subscriber, you can head down to an Optus store this week and pick up a Fetch Mini for $0 per month for 12 months. After the 12 month period, a $20 per month fee applies

EDIT: Title and description have been updated to reflect additional info posted on the offer page

    • Thanks will try it out

    • What is the advantage of doing this ? Are you able to see your channel pack on the fetch mini as well ?To use multi room it cost $10 to add your fetch mini. Is this just having all register under one account or there is other advantage to do this. Thanks.

      • Yes you can see all the channels from your normal fetch on the new mini.

You get to use it in a other room for 12 months free

    • Let me know if you don't get billed on your main account I will add it to mine too. You can just factory reset the device it will ask for the activation code again. Activation code just acts as a login to the service. If you are using 2 devices they will charge you the multiroom fee which is $5.

When the new account was set up, My Mini was scanned and added to the new fetch account. So it's not like Optus don't know that mini is linked to that account for billing. I am just curious about the multiroom part.

    • Hi did you end up getting charged on your main account? You can factory reset the device and use new code to activate. I will try it if there is no charge. Thanks.

  • went into optus store airport west, and was offered double data on sim only plans,

    $45 (30GB data)
    $55 (50GB data)
    65 (80GB data)

new or prepaid to postpaid customers only.

someone can make this a new deal as its not allowing me to post this as a deal.

  • Just got the Fetch Mini @ Collonades SA using my Post Paid Optus mobile plan - still a few in stock there.

    • Funny thing is you can't watch Optus Sport channel using Fetch Mini with your Postpaid Optus mobile plan tether data. @_@

If you could get it work please let me know. Thanks !

  • +1

Got charged $25 on my bill with no credit. Time to fight India!

    • Lol it's not India's fault. They set up a new account and applied 12 credits of $25 on the account in store. If I leave early I have to pay out the contract.

  • Anyone had problem with Optus sport package not active on Fetch mini after setup? I have a post-paid mobile package with Optus which includes Optus sport, so I can watch it on my phone.

  • First bill just arrived:

    Bill Amount $0.00
    Due date: No Payment Required
