$1 Large Sundae, $3 off Grand Big Mac @ McDonald's (via mymacca's App)

1180

Just saw the deals in the ordering app.
$1 large sundae is to go for.
Normal price for a grand big mac is between $7 and $9, so $3 off is not a bad deal.

  • Hi OP, just curious though how many slices of cheese do they serve in a big mac? Last time they gave me one slice.

$5 McOz meal with a $1 Sundae? That's a cheap date night for one

Don’t forget Student Edge card for free drink.

      • +1

Thank you. I did not know this. Now googled it.

      • TechnicLly not applicable to value meals but most staff give them anyways.

  • +2

Last time I got the $1 sundae, they were so tight with the actual ice cream it felt like I was eating just the chocolate syrup.

    • +3

I'd have thought the chocolate syrup would cost more than the soft serve itself!

      • I don't know, but it wasn't pleasant…

    • Yeah they filled a regular cup’s amount in a large cup.
I got them to fill it right to the top.

    • Bought today from foodcourt underneath Myer in Sydney city, it was really big full cup. Almost could not finish it :p

$4.45 for a Grand Big Mac or $5 for a small McOz meal? Hmmm… 🤔🤔

    • +5

      Why not both?

    • Brisbane $8.75 for a grand big mac, ($5.75 with discount) and no such thing as a McOz at any price :\

      • Oh wow haha this price is at Chatswood Rail Macca's.

      • $6.45 at McDonalds Hurlstone Park NSW. Price should be $1.5 more than regular Big Mac pricing.

    • +1

I am having the same dilemma.. haha

Love my fries though, so tempted with GM and large fries plus the sundae of course…

  • +1

These deals keep being lit. Good stuff

  • +7

Remove one of the meat patties and save $5 off the Grand Big Mac in total.

    • +1

      da hell?

    • +2

Removing 1 patty reduces the overall price by $2 hence the burger then costs $2.35 in total.

      • I don't often go to McD. Can you remove stuff using their app, or do you have to do this at the counter?

        • You can do using app. I can’t find their steamed bun option anymore on the app though.

        • @ATangk: What about the steamed ham option?

        • You can do it at the counter too.

I often use the hack menu to swap the Big Mac meat patties for McChicken patties or quarter pounder patties.

The price will differ as each patty costs different.

        • @captbollocks: Yeah, I was just thinking if you manipulate ingredients to get the cost right down, I'd prefer not to do it at the counter. That you're less likely to get an attitude if it's done on the app.

  • +1

Tried the Grand Big Mac twice, the patties were a bit dry both times. Big Mac doesn't have this problem.

    • Depending on the time of day will dictate the amount of Grand Macs that are sold, and the amount of meat that is cooked ready to go. With the new meat having a large surface area, it is easier to dry out and be a bit worse. However, personally I have found that the Big Macs patties are tastier, might be personal preference though.

Do you know that McDonald's used to sell pizza in the 70s?

    • +3

Interesting. I just spent my lunch time browsing the net about it.

    • Crazy! I also didn’t know this..
Just up until last year two stores still had pizza on their menu and were asked to stop

    • First I thought you were trolling until I googled. Amazing!!

$2.25 Grand Chicken Mac - Remove the two pieces of beef and add only 1 piece of chicken and they will always add two pieces of chicken instead, except the one time they gave me beef and chicken.

    • +8

      This guy bargains.

    • +2

Wow, just tried it and it worked a charm

    • +2

Worked for me also. The grill order was attached to my burger box so I took a look. As far as I can tell, there is no way the fry cook can tell he's meant to only add one chicken patty. It just looks like minus beef, substitute chicken.

      • Can confirm.
        The fat life chose me.

    • +1

Worked for me, god bless you.

    • Did that before…..ended up with nothing. None at all.
Got a replacement burger, but that only came with the one…..

    • Ended up being $5.40 for me removing 2 beef patty on grand mac and adding 1 mcchicken patty

      • +1

Did you get the $3 off voucher? That sounds like you paid full price?

        • Full price grand mac is $7.20 :P

          EDIT:

Scratch that it does sounds like he paid full price.

        • Yes you are right. Full price. Thanks

    • +2

I've been using this trick, but last night for the first time, I finally got called out and they said, you realise you only put 1 patty right?

Umm, yeah I know….. And then they made it with only 1, lol

      • I got questioned on that too.
They said the price is wrong. Questioned me at the first window, and at the pickup window. (Drive-thru)
Except they wanted to charge me extra for the chicken, cause I only selected one patty.
I just said whatever, just give me what I've paid for….

I got one beef and one one chicken patty WTF.

      But it tastes good.

    • 100% tasty.

    • +2

      Thanks for letting us know.

    • Thanks. Really think consumers need to know what type of sugar is used. Big difference to health if it was say glucose (ok) or fructose (not good) especially if its High Fructose Corn syrup, ( most likely)

    Got my caramel sundae 😬

  • is the sundae only one use during the promotion?

    • You can use each offer only once

  • Didn't claim the BOGOF deal (like everyone else on this site I will not explain the acronym) from last week. Maybe that's a good thing though. Note to self: remove McDonalds app from my phone.

  • +1

Can someone explain how to get to this deal? I add it to cart but it's still full price.

    • +1

Add via the deal on the first page rather than via menu. If you add via menu you should be able to go back to the deal and select "apply" to order.

  • Can someone explain the app to me?
I made an account, put my bank card in, made a fake order, and now it says we will make it when u check in at location….
When i arrive does it automatically check me in? Like a wifi conection knows im there? Then just stand there (without having to talk to anyone) and they will call my order out?

And what is the kirbside option? "park and we will bring your order out"

How do they know what car your in?

    • +1

I usually tell them I'm waiting for an online order as they ask if I want to order. It checks you in based on location. Haven't used kerbside option.

    • +1

When you get to the restaurant, it will let you check in and choose how you want to collect it. If you choose eat in or takeaway, it will tell you your order number then you just wait for the counter staff to call out that number then you go collect it. If you choose table service, you take a table number from the counter and input that into the app. A staff member will then bring you your food. If you choose drive through, you just quote the order number it tells you at the microphone. Don't know about kerbside, never seen that as an option.
