TP-Link HS100 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Smart Plug - PACKET of TWO $35.07 (ie $17.53 each, RRP $59) @ Catch on eBay

190

This is the older model of the HS110, however this version is a BARGAIN at $17.53!

I am assuming that the eBay listing is correct where is states, "Pack contents: 2 x WiFi Smart Plug", and that the eBay images also shows a "x2" in the top right corner.

OR EVEN BETTER, get 4 units for $63.13 (that's $15.78 each!) by using the PIZZAZZ code for an extra 10% off.

Note that I am not sure whether you need to be an eBay Plus member for the free shipping.

Enjoy!

$10 postage has me switched off.

Free shipping with eBay plus and the PULL5 code worked, so $33.32 for 2 ($16.66 each)… damn, shouldn't have bought the one for $24… d'oh!

  • +1

Just checked, need Ebay Plus to qualify for free shipping. Good deal

    EDIT: beatened to it :D

    • +1

Even without the free shipping, it turns out to be $22.50 each which is still cheaper than a recent bargain of $24.00 each… only difference here is that you have to buy two.

I just hope it is for 2 of them!

The invoice I just received from Catch is weird, it shows the Qty as 1 and total inc. GST as $45.06 :o/

    • +1

Perhaps take a screenshot of the seller's listing as proof that there are two units included. If you are not an eBay Plus member (which I believe is free for the first month - you better check) then you have to pay about $10 for postage. That's why your order is not $35

I paid $33.32 with PayPal, but was sent a separate invoice from Catch.com.au with the higher amount.

Meh, as long as they send me two brand new ones in boxes, it's all good, just spewing I didn't wait a few minutes and bought one for $24. And yeah, I took a screenshot of the entire listing just in case!

        • Hi Graffin! Would it be possible for you to share the screenshots? :)

        • @frjativa:

Here you go, it's got the image with a x2 as well as mentioning 2 in the description.

It's probably just a box with 2 - so still 1 unit for inventory reasons… The invoice also adds the $10 delivery that eBay plus absorbs

      • Weight is only that of 1!

  • They're going to start giving them away at this rate…

  • Use code PULL5 for 5% off.

  • This is the older model of the HS110

How can you tell, and what's the difference?

(After having a look, I can only find a V1 of the AU model, which appears to be the same as the US V2 model.)

Shame no HS110. Wouldn't have felt so bad about missing the last deal on them :)

  • this is out of stock already

  • Think packet of 2 might be wishful thinking😢
🚨EBay listing does not (currently) mention 2🚨
Athough it says that in Catch's item description…

BUT item weight is exactly same as a single unit in other listings…
Pack contents: 2 x WiFi Smart Plug
    Weight: 131.8g
    @catch
    Or
Package Contents: Smart Plug HS100, Quick Start Guide
    Weight: 131.8g
    @shopping express

So either Catch is selling a weightless smart plug, or it's item description is in error!!

374 clicks, suggestion to buy multiple packs…
Dispute with Catch if you bought expecting 2 per pack & only receive 1. Good luck🍀

Hope someone took screenshots of Catch's item description & ebay image! (Graffin did) Post it in this deal.😳

Similar to incorrect information in a smart light deal on Amazon - described as Starter Kit in main body, but only 1 bulb delivered (as per Product description). https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/385972

(By the time I did my research… It was gone! Gamble averted.)

  • Where did you see x2 in the image? I can only see 1/2 and 2/2 as image numbers? Though wishing you luck it is x2.

They removed the picture that had x2

You can still see it in Ozbargain's thumbnail.

    The description also still says:

Pack contents: 2 x WiFi Smart Plug

    • Interesting - a good Catch there😠
Weight in item description is only for 1
Only saw at 0530 - Thumbnail has shown 1 for some time on mobile

Error, so cancel unless you want to return them later.

  • Yep just had confirmation it's an error - offered credit but i'd rather return and get them cheaper somewhere else!

    • Did they contact you, or did you contact them?

      • I contacted them

        • How did you contact them?

It was listed as x2, and clearly stated in the Description:

Pack contents : 2 x WiFi Smart Plug

Here's the screenshot of the original listing… https://imgur.com/Rraxvgm

  • Grrrrrr

I have just sent a message via eBay messenger so I guess we'll see

:( it's pretty slack that they changed the description etc

  • Just got an email:

"You might be expecting to receive a 2x TP-Link HS100 2.4GHz WiFi Smart Plug - White from your order, however, there was an advert error which has been fixed and is meant to be sold as 1x, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you.

In this case, we can offer you 2 options:

    1. Issue a partial refund of $17 back to your account that will be available on your statement within 2 to 3 business days after processing it.

    2. Cancel the order and issue a full refund back to your account which will reflect on your statement within 2 to 3 business days."

I really only needed one so a partial refund of $17 works well for me. Makes it $18.07 minus the 10% off for the discount ($3.50) so $15 for one.

    • I got offered $20 store credit onto my Catch account but decided to cancel order and get a full refund.

At least they were quick to refund my money back :)

    • I got the same email.

I'm happy to accept the partial refund. I paid $33.32 for 2 (using PULL5), so less $17, means it cost me $16.32 for one.

But, isn't it against eBay policy to conduct "deals" outside of eBay?

    • Hey Rossi, any update on your order?

I replied to the email I got from Catch.com.au and also sent them another message in eBay quoting the email and saying I’d be happy to accept the partial refund of $17 and just receive the one plug, but no reply, no partial refund and the plug still hasn’t been posted.

      Terrible customer service!

  • Just reporting back, order cancelled and $15 store credit issued

    • I don't know what they're doing with mine.

It's against eBay policy for them to make "deals" outside of eBay, yet they offer me $17 partial refund (which I accepted), but i'm yet to get that, and the item hasn't been posted yet.

      Grrrr!
