Hark Chubby Offset Smoker (RRP $999) + Charmate Digital Thermometer (RRP $29.99) $799.20 (C&C) @ Outdoors Domain

Price moved back up to $999 pre coupon.

Picked this rig up a fortnight ago and absolutely love it. Cheapest it's ever been in my travels is ~$800.

This is the perfect offset smoker for anyone who's ready to take their cooking to the next level. Thick steel, solid construction, plenty of room and very efficient on wood.

Copy pasta:

The Hark Chubby Offset Smoker is the replacement to the much loved Tri-Fire Offset Smoker and the little brother to the Texas Pro-Pit. This unique product gives you 3 distinct cooking functions, allowing you to cook like a pro. Once you've cooked on the Chubby Offset Smoker, you'll never cook with gas again!

The unit comes with 3 cooking options - Direct Grilling, Smoking or Rotisserie Cooking. You can sear steaks and burgers with high heat over charcoal for that delicious chargrill flavour. The Smoker offers a huge cooking capacity with the ability to cook in both the fire box and cooking chamber at the same time.

Alternatively, use the smoke and heat firebox to cook indirectly - producing beautifully tender cuts of meat. Or if this isn't enough, the Chubby Smoker can be turned into a fully enclosed rotisserie pit thanks to the supplied bracket (Please note: Rotisserie unit is an optional extra).

RRP is $999 but, like everything else you'd never pay that.
      It usually hovers around $850-$950.

  • Dang I jumped when I thought it was 30$ hahah

    • Lol I thought it's RRP $29.99 and they were selling it for $679.20.

    • some clickbait shit

    • Sorry for inducing your heart attack. Updated the title to include the rigs RRP too :)

  • great price for an offset smoker …hope they post a deal for the hark texas.

  • This is an absolute bargain at the price. Wish they were in S.A

  • What do you use to smoke? Using pellets right now but they are quite expensive.

    • -1

      MDF, chipboard, blueboard, asbestos.

    • Use proper chunks. Ironbark is accessible in Australia. Also any fruitwoods (apple, cherry, lemon etc) so if you know anyone with a tree hit them up.

You can buy all the classics from BBQ stores as well. Normally around 20 buck for 1.5 kgs

I run only wood splits like redgum, ironbark on this rig. Just buy it by the cubic metre off a guy on gumtree, Facebook marketplace, can't really go wrong.

Lots of people run lump coal on this, but that's not what this is made for.

  • Is this different from the Char Griller Deluxe combo at Bunnings for $328? https://www.bunnings.com.au/char-griller-deluxe_p3180388 and https://www.bunnings.com.au/char-griller-deluxe-side-fire-bo…

This is a far superior unit. Cheap offsets are garbage. This is the best unit you'll get under $1000

    • Very. Thinner steel, poorer build quality which means worse heat retention (more fuel, costs more to run) and much more unstable and difficult to control temperatures (which is a great way to ruin a meal which took 10 hours to cook).

    ordered !

  • Looks like they've caught on and put the pre coupon price back up to $999. Oh well, hope enough people pounced while it lasted.
