How Much Have You Spent so far @ Amazon Australia

I was reading in an article that the American spends on average anywhere between $700 to $1300 USD on Amazon.com every year.

I have already spent $400 this month and most of the spend was due to Amazon prime free delivery with no minimum spend

How much have you spent so far?

Might be good adding a poll?

$200 so far, on 4 items.
Article statistic sounds a bit extreme given the people who don't even shop online. I bet the article was created to promote Amazon.

$0. Spent approximately $500 on Amazon USA during that time.

    • Same, except around $1.5k on Amazon USA, (Laptop and 8TB EHD)

    $0.

Shit product range and shit prices!

  • @easternculture Were those purchases on Amazon Aus for no min spend for postage through A Prime. Thought for Aus it was $450. Anyone know.

  • $59($79). $20 sign up voucher + free delivery code. Though, they've charged me more ($64.08), so now I have to contact their support >:/

    • $20 sign up voucher wont stack with a free delivery code, you should get free delivery automatically at a certain price point, usually $49, but its only standard delivery for free.

    Ebay however - zomg

  • 360 on a Nintendo switch.

  • Most markups just looked scandalous. As if the exchange rate had plummeted forty cents, But that's in the toilet enough already.
The Amazon I knew, I spent hundreds.

    • That's mostly third party sellers (and one in particular 'Glendora' doing that).

      Amazon itself is reasonably priced.

  • I cannot get a lot of the stuff I used to get from Amazon US, such as wide fitting shoes that do not damage my feet that are unavailable in Australia …

  • Not as much as I had liked to.

  • I'm still getting amazon..com reminders and offers to be delivered to Australia 2259…go figure?? should test it..lol

  • $650 this year so far. The minecraft Xbox was a large chunk.
Half the value household (normally Woolworths etc) other half random/electronics normally from retailers via eBay.

  • $0.0 on Amazon AU
    $0.0 on Amazon US
    $0.0 on Ebay Plus

  • Now they have prime there's a heap of stuff worth buying on Amazon.

Other than a Switch and a bunch of games and other things. I'm starting to pick up non-perishable groceries as there's a few bargains like Napi San 2KG Gold for $9 and Finish dishwashing tablets.

The wife last night spent $7 on USB cables.

Obviously I'll shop around before using it but as they stock more and more things (because let's face it most of the third party sellers are ridiculously expensive) I'll probably use it more and more.

    • The active ingredients in Napisan are the same as the Aldi one. Might be worth checking out. It also makes a very good and cheap wood deck cleaner.

      • I've used it before. It's pretty decent but Aldi is no where near me where this gets delivered to my house.

  • Amazon - no account, zero purchases (incl US version)
Ebay - had account for over 10 years, 150+ purchases - $5000k + (mainly new, cheap Chinese stuff with free shipping)
I just like (and very familiar) the way it works so have no need to try anything else yet.
I usually like to stick with companies as long as they don't screw me over or competitors become way better

      • Sorry, meant 5k. good pickup. btw - Ozbargain has been more use to me that any specific online store. I now have heaps of people who come to me often for advice on where/what to buy. I tell them about Ozbargain but they are mostly too lazy to do the research. I'm fine with that as they help me in other ways. I most often try to get a better product for the price they are willing to spend more than try to find the cheapest price. Long live Ozbargain !!!

  • $110 on a coffee machine which was a great deal.

Everything I want is many times more expensive on the AU site. Also, the AU site has much, much less than the US site for the items that interest me. Amazon AU is pretty pointless for me at the moment - totally irrelevant.
