  • Only 2 Stores in the whole of Australia…

    • +1

There's actually 12 stores, 1 under reconstruction in QLD

      • Your Right! My mistake, I didn't zoom in on the map :D

    • I work around the corner from one of them :D

  • +2

    Yum! Their burgers are moist.

    • I love a moist burger

  • +1

What is the minimum $ spend to get the same or equal value burger?

    • $7 it seems.

      • applies when a small or large Project Combo Pack is >purchased with any burger

And $7 is the combo pack

        • +1

          Classic beef burger is $9.90.
So you could pay $16.90 for 2 Classic beef burgers + chips + drink.

"celebrity chef Neil Perry is significantly underpaying key staff as they work up to 70 hours a week in harsh conditions."

    https://www.smh.com.au/business/workplace/rockpool-restauran…

    • Disgusting how they've resorted to blackmailing their employees, too.

  • July is title improvement month.

    • In future, please mention the state at the beginning of the title.

That's been fixed. Moderators and power users spend time fixing titles throughout the day and any help is appreciated. Thanks for posting!

    • Will do!

These are good burgers. Probably as close as you will get to Shake Shack here in Australia.

    • -3

No they are terrible, might as well hit up Maccas and save some money.

    • Err, except Betty's Burgers which IS Shake Shack.

The menus are legit clones of eachother.

  • What is a Project Combo Pack? I looked at the menu and couldn't find it.

  • +2

I've been there twice now, I really don't understand the fuss.

    Pretty average imo.

    • +2

yeah, agree with this, while the burgers are moist, it doesn't really live up to hype and are so small

      • Agreed. Overpriced and overrated.

  • +4

    Horrible burgers.

Don't forget you can also claim Qantas FF points at the register when ordering! Just have your QFF number ready.

    • That’s if the register is working. The lack of integration between stores and their app is ridiculous.

  • +1

rather go Royal Stacks or Betty's if I'm in the CBD.

  • +2

Such a shame they closed the Macquarie Centre store :(
Now they only have Parramatta, Bondi and CBD in NSW..

    • +3

Good deal for overpriced shit burgers!

For everyone badmouthing them, what's your preference? Because I've been to at LEAST 50 burger places in Melbourne and this is still my favourite.
The meat tastes like meat without tasting like a giant rissole, the lettuce is good, buns aren't disgustingly sweet or buttery.
Their pickles could be better and sometimes they aren't very evenly cooked, but for the price they're still one of the best options in the CBD.

    • Royal Stacks, Huxtaburger and Easeys spring to mind in Melbourne

      • I tried Easeys shortly after they first opened and it was great, went back about a year later after all the hype had died down and it was completely forgettable at that price point, outside of the obvious novelty appeal/instagram bait.
Huxtaburger seemed just like soggy McDonalds with way too much sauce, I'd rather Mr. Burger as they always seem to be in the same locations.
Royal Stacks I've only had from the food court in Chadstone but that was also forgettable. Kraft single over chips, what joy.

At the end of the day everyone has different tastes, maybe people like the more 8-bit/American style than me?

    • In Brisbane, Miss Kays, Buffalo Bar, Betty's Burgers and of course Grill'd. Heck, I'd take a Whopper over Burger Project.

      • We've got Betty's here but I'd never go again with the stupid waiting system they had. Lettuce was the best thing about the burger too.
Grill'd started off amazing and now they don't even know who they are anymore. Bring back the Kung-Fu Satay Beef burger and Rekorderlig slushies.
PS: What's wrong with a Whopper? None of the chains mentioned here can touch 2 for $8 at that size anyway.

        • Betty’s makes me sick.

        • When I was in Hungry Jacks yesterday it looked like a Whopper is now $3 each on the loose change menu

Edit: Ah that’s a whopper junior, sorry!

        • @theguyrules: sucks to be you.

      • Betty's Burgers are a bit overpriced. Felt like I could eat it in a couple bites. Didn't feel like it was anything special.

At least with Grill'd I feel like it's been cooked rather than just placed together.

Whatever you do, don't try that "Chur Burger" place. That was (profanity) terrible.

        • They are overpriced, because you have to add extras to make it into a 'gourmet burger' and they're usually $4+ each.

        • @KLoNe: I bought one on recommendation and the burger I got at the end was tiny, the price was high though. :(

    • There are so many better places for burgers. Bar Luca, Happy ending, Northside burgers to name a few in syd

    • Bar Luca. /thread closed

    • Bar Luca. Even Mary's is better. (Sydney)

  • I got a burger for $5.90 delivered!! Thanks shopback and the voucher and free delivery from burger project!.

    Cheap lunch!

  • I like their burgers but it's on par with Grill'd IMO.

  • Their Spicy Chicken Katsu burger is nice.

  • Tried it yesterday for the first time and was honestly very disappointed. Quite expensive and the both the beef patty and chicken katsu were small-sized. Honestly Grill'd is much better.

  • Tried getting this at Parramatta only to be told they ran out of buns at 7pm.

  • Theses burgers are very disappointing, minimal sauce and quite bland.

I've been there twice, both times the patties were overcooked as well as being quite small.

So many better places to go to in Melbourne CBD.

  • Doesn't work with delivery… :/

No point going down to the store, I'd rather not wait a year and a half to get another burger for maybe $5 off.

  • Just tried it, wasn't bad value with the deal but not sure I'd return at full price.

Reminded me of Betty's Burgers in QLD.

    • Yeah the bacon burger reminds me of Betty's but less greasy.
      Also smaller portions.

  • The one in broadway is always almost empty when I pass by
