Vodafone Nokia 3's Factory Unlocked?

Just wondering if anyone purchased a Nokia 3 from any of the previous deals (mainly woolworths).
I ask, because I notice places like MobiCity are selling "Branding: Vodafone, Locking: None" on their site, in SEALED retail packaging.

I thought it might actually be possible that NOKIA phones are unlocked from vodafone.

Anyone know?

Otherwise, anyone know where a cheap Optus locked NOKIA may be obtained?

The Nokia 3 is available on postpaid
Chances are they are selling a postpaid unit.
Phones sold on postpaid are unlocked by default.

The prepaid units are locked by Vodafone and can easily be unlocked (fee applies)

    • Intriguing.

How would one go about getting a post paid unit at these prices, without the plan?

  • Brought one today from Woolworths, chucked the IEMI number into unlocker and its only $25 to unlock (should be $50). There is also a shop in sydney that unlocks, but youll need to take you device there (search ebay around $15).
