      Had the same error, but switching my Kindle store to amazon.com.au and my country of residence to Australia fixed it.

    Hmm. I thought kindle unlimited would only be for kindle tablets etc. but “any device with the kindle app” makes me want to give it a try on my iPad

    Edit: to be honest I’ve already lost interest in this. A lot of the books I was interested in reading aren’t even on kindle unlimited.

    Interesting fact. I recently had to cancel my credit card however my cancelled card details that are still saved on amazon have been accepted for my Amazon Prime and Kindle Unlimited membership

      Not very interesting at all. They haven't tried to bill you yet. It was accepted because it was a valid credit card number but they didnt try to process a payment to it.

        That’s true but it’s no longer a valid card. It seems like a slight bug in their payment system that just because it was a valid card when I initial saved it to my account that it doesn’t check if it’s still valid.

        Can’t remember off the top of my head what sites but I’m sure I’ve had a few sites which force you to have a saved payment method and it’s aware if that method is no longer valid without the need to complete a transaction to validate the card

          Yeah they seem to be few and far between. Also most of the books look like they're rubbish anyway. I'm not sure I'll bother to pay the $5 for Prime to get this.

      You will have to change your account location to Australia. I don't know if you can change it straight back after signing up or if you have to wait until the trial is over. I'm guessing the latter.

      I think you can only access them while you have an active Kindle Unlimited subscription.

    Even though it's a million books, there isn't a whole there that's great reading that would push me to get Prime membership. For those who have it then it's a nice bonus.

      Found the same, was actually going to keep the subscription going, all the titles I wanted to read are not covered.
      But over a million books are, so depends what you are into.
