Telstra CreditMe2U Questions Help

Hi all,

I have just over $200 racked up on my Telstra Prepaid credit. I am still in the grandfathered Freedom Plus plan. I would like to make the most of the credit by sending the credit to my son's prepaid mobile phone number. I have just gotten him a new Telstra prepaid sim from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/389645.

Telstra has been changing their Prepaid offering frequently in the last few years or so, a lot of the info I found on Google is probably not relevant anymore.

My question is around which plan I should activate the sim card on? From the looks of it, I should activate it on the Prepaid Extra and just buy data packs on that plan? Does anyone know how long the data packs last for?

Thanks in advance.

  • I have secondary line using Long Life Plus. Not sure if you can use Prepaid extra on your son's number, as the maximum you can creditme2u each time is $10.

Your best bet is a phone call to Telstra. Ask nicely if they can transfer as much of your Freedom Plus credit as possible to your son's Telstra prepaid number, and ask them which prepaid offering is the most suitable for utilising that credit.

This is only true if you are on one of the grandfathered offer, none of the new/current offer is compatible with creditme2u so it won't work out for the OP unfortunately

        • All newly activated offers from telstra do not allow creditme2u in or out, you'll need both services from a grandfathered offer for it to work now

        • @bonz:

When did this happen? My secondary long life plus plan was activated about 1 - 2 months ago, no such problem for me.

I guess you should buy lotto because you must have somehow stumbled upon an anomaly
