Would say this is not a deal … I hate these apps where they first charge some money … then after some time they make it free (so it looks like you save money but the whole purpose is to make the money with the in app purchases … looks for me like a gambling app .. esp when you can buy chips for 99.99 :-( Sad that people try to rip you off … (as you never can win something … its a game … ). Better go to the casino.

    1WSOP Re-buy$0.99
    2Stack of 22,000 chips$1.99
    3Stack of 56,000 chips$4.99
    4Stack of 400,000 chips$19.99
    5Stack of 115,000 chips$9.99
    6Stack of 10,000,000 chips$99.99
    7Stack of 10,000,000 chips$9.99
    8Stack of 3,000,000 chips$49.99
    9Stack of 50,000,000 chips$19.99
    10Stack of 3,000,000 chips$4.99

    • So people know, how this works is they give you x chips per day. If you lose those chips you can't play until the next day, or until you purchase chips.

why would you pay actual money for the chips?
i would prefer to go to the Casino for the Real money gamble.
it about the Free Game Apps.

you can "Play for Free" or get the Free chip that you get every day.
or play with your friend over Bluetooth or Game Center.

I agree … it is free BUT: It is always supposed to be free … the Dev wants to make money with the in app purchase … of course he submits it to the iTunes store for a high price which then gets lowered to 0.00 … part of the business model to appear on these sites and other free or discounted app review sites) … these apps are just about getting people hooked and then pay some money later (and they can't even win). Nothing wrong with in app purchases … but the option to have a $99.99 purchase is ridiculous. (IT IS A GAME AND NOT GAMBLING!)
For this reason no deal for me. I stick to my neg.

Better get some EA (iphone) games at the moment which are discounted at the moment (you pay a little bit but can't get ripped off in the future)

        Sim City Deluxe $1.19
        The Sims 3 Ambitions $1.19
        Spore $1.19
        Scrabble $1.19
        Monopoly $1.19
        NBA Elite 11 $1.19
        Pictureka $1.19
        and other EA Games

  • reviews aren't they great

Worked great for a couple days, but now crashes constantly, most of the time I can not even get it to start!!! Hoped the update would fix this but didn't.

They keep adding new stuff to the game. To bad the game crashes before I can ever play it. Don't waste your money. CRASHES Everytime I try to play.

    Crashes,crashes,crashes,crashes,crashes,crashes,crashes,crashes,crashes,

    although free is free

    • No.

I have found this game very good on iphone and haven't had any problems at all. You don't have to buy any chips at all, if you lose it all, you play in a free games until you build up your chips. It is a great game especially for free

Had no idea OzBargain was allowing gambling crapware like this. Sad to see.

This isn't strictly gambling. It's like PokerStars advertising free tournaments on TV for Pokerstars.net, where you really can play all you like for free. This creates huge interest in the brand and inevitably people get frustrated with the free game, as it's full of crazies going all in on every hand. Hey, it's free right? Why wouldn't you?

Players then gravitate to the real money game site at… pokerstars.com. Clever marketing that doesn't strictly advertise gambling, thus gets around all sorts of pesky laws.

the only thing sad to see here is short minded comments like yours…

Ive got this App….. its actually not that bad!

I wouldnt pay for it (or the extra chips), but its not too hard to get a little kitty going…. and then when you log on to the game, you get extra chips for free based on a % of your current chip count. Keep your kitty high, and you actually get quite a lot of free chips per day.

Lose it all and you'll have a hard time though :).

Dont knock it till you try it folks (try it if you dont like it delete it)…. but for a free app its pretty good.

not sure what the fuss is about?
the game is free, chip is free, well new chip every day, u dont need to buy chips, the game is easy, with in a few days i,m already up 4 billion chips

HEHE … :-) Good to have some discussion about this. I think it is OK to have two negative comments on this "deal".

1st: Even if it is not gambling … it is an easy entry to gambling. And the option of paying $99.99 shows this (a dev should not even offer this!!! Rip off.). All the kids who download all free apps … some will purchase chips and get hooked. Who in this forum would pay $99.99 for chips … not one person. But this discussion … the backlink and the downloads help the dev to get some people who are not that clever and will purchase "too many" chips.

2nd: It is NOT a bargain … as explained above … the business model of this kind of app works always with a paid app which then gets discounted. As this page is for bargains it should not be promoted here. Just watch and see how long it will be free. A long time … and when the price goes up it will be discounted again the following week to get some promotion again … VERY CLEVER MODEL!

It is interesting to see for me how many positive reviews this "deal" gets … so far this community was really good in discovering scams, rip offs and hidden advertising.

(hehe …last post from me on this deal … all said!)

it went free for a few days quite a while ago and this is appears to be the same deal. I would not expect it to be free for very long at all

Ok feel obliged to weigh in here. Ive got 200 odd million chips on mine

Build your bank roll up from the free table/$50 buy in tourney and then progress through the more expensive "harder" buy ins.

I personally dont like the structure with the multi table tourneys but thats beside the point and not the greatest poker around (will never be the same playing against real life people)

You get bonus chips each day, which works out to be a percentage of your bank roll.

At no single point does one HAVE to spend money for chips, and just because theres people out there with more money than brains or just plain sick in the need does not preclude this from being a bargain.

If you end up bankrupt - theres a free table tourney you can enter with the first prize being $50 - its not much but it gets you started again.

I dont understand the neg votes at all - just as someone needs to do research before posting "bargains", voters also need to quantify their votes with some as well.

  • free iphone/ipad apps, +ve for me!

plus no one is forcing you to buy those in game chips, its only for that that can't hack having a crappy bank balance and have too much money haha
