  • Thanks, finally pulled the trigger on these

  • How many bulbs in the pack?

    • +1

    • I'm sure I can see 6, no?!?

      • Hi, where did it say 6? Thanks

        • +1

          understand the tone

  • This is also best way to expand if you already got bulbs. I sold the spare hub a couple of times on eBay for about $50. Would make this a steal.

    • Shame all my outlets are bayonets

  • +1

I just bought previous kit and now this one. Now just need some downlights and all set.

  • +1

Bought, will sell the hub with the eBay Plus offer of selling items for free :D

    • Same, I have the previous kit from the last deal as well. So I'll sell off the Hub too :)

  • Damn. Bought Lifx bulbs yesterday. Feel like I need these also.

rather hit bunnings and also get a snag
    Bunnings

    • checked before and it was $255

    • You’ll miss out of the Cashrewards. But now that Bunnings have it I’ll use Officeworks price beat.

    • Popped down to officeworks and got it price matched and beaten.
      $132.04

      • Should have paid with 28 Degrees Apple pay to get 5% cashback

      • Wouldn’t this deal still workout better with 7.5% cashback? I think it works out to be $129.49 after the cashback.

      • How'd you manage that? I got told they wouldn't price beat cos it required a Prime account

        • He price matched with Bunnings who has it for $138~

  • My order has been shipped.

    • Mine has been delivered

      • How you liking it?

        • I have buyers remorse, now officially addicted.

Colours are vibrant and bright. Super easy to get going

Need deals on bayonets, damn trying to save but need more.., damn it more hue devices.

          Siri kitchen lights purple…

        • @spammenotinoz: This will be my second set of the 3 pack of RGB bulbs, I also have the light strip from the past Amazon deal. I have the light strip mounted on the back edge of my office desk. I don't really use the colours for the bulbs in the roof or my bedside lamp but I do use it for the light strip.

I just wish there was an easy way to have the light strip cycle through the colours (using Siri or Homekit). I have found you can do it with third party apps for the iPhone but they obviously need to constantly talk to the Hue Bridge as soon as you kill the app the colours stop cycling. Also it means you can't use Siri/Homekit to do this.

I'd love to be able to walk into my office and say Hey Siri turn on my office lights, and the ceiling lights would turn on (which they do) but also set the light strip to colour cycle. My other issue with the light strip is that it is heavy and it doesn't seem to stick very well. I previously had a cheap eBay RGB led strip on the back of the desk and never had any troubles. Which is odd since the Philips strip uses genuine 3M tape…

There's also this, but it looks different…

    BTW love your work @Jimmy007 - you've been a heavy-hitting contributor lately.

    • Yeah that’s the white only bulbs, as well as only 2 bulbs.

      • +1

And not even the ones you can change the colour temperature of… You can only turn them on and off and adjust the brightness… The White Ambience bulbs also allow you to change the colour temperature from cool to warm.

    • only white so not as good a deal

I want to surgically place this in my testicles.

  • +2

So I've just bought the last 2 at Bunnings Browns Plains and just set them up. Discovered after climbing up the ladder 6 times that the bridge will only find the 3 that come with it. The others I had to manually put in the serial number printed on each bulb into the app before it would find them in a search. So I had to climb the ladder 3 more times.

Hopefully this saves someone else the troubles.

  • Has anyone's order from Monday (16/7) been shipped/delivered? My order's expected delivery date says today, but it hasn't even been shipped yet.

    • Mine came today right on the scheduled timeframe
